My Take on Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner:

Simply speaking, I don’t believe in toners unless they do something for my giant pores. I love facial mists, but for me they are nothing more than fancy products that just add on to your monthly beauty bills! I love using Forest Essentials mists, but in the end, for me they are more of a luxury than a requirement.

Now this toner has been the game changer. It comes in this huge, sturdy, no-fancy bottle. The toner looks orange but when applied, it’s completely colorless. I use it only at night after cleansing as this is an exfoliating toner. I am too conscious when it comes to skin care and don’t want to expose my exfoliated skin to the damage, so avoid using it in daytime.

This has 5% Glycolic acid which is an alpha hydroxyl acid (AHA). We all know how good AHAs are for skin when it comes to exfoliation, but what is so good about glycolic acid? Well, it is the smallest AHA and so has the most dramatic effect. It helps in removing dead skin cells and in skin repair giving you an even skin tone in the long run. Along with that, the tonic has some superb ingredients like aloe vera, witch hazel, ginseng root extract, etc.

I started using this exactly a month back (i.e., June 20) and my skin hasn’t looked this good in years. Yes, you read it right! It actually works like a charm: pore size reduced, pesky blackheads on the nose less in number, skin refreshed, no bumpy skin, you get all the suppleness back, and what not!

Now, I have the saved the best for the last. I was so tired of my chin breakouts (have one and get another free kind :P) and the marks that they left. I know sometimes it has got to do with some hormonal/internal problem, but still who wants them! But I haven’t had a single breakout on my chin since I started using this. Also, the area around my mouth appears a liiiitle brighter 😛

So in all, this is a great product to be included in your skin care arsenal.

What I Love about Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner:

  • A great exfoliating toner.
  • Power packed ingredient list.
  • Alcohol free.
  • No tingling sensation on my sensitive skin.
  • Affordable for a product this effective.
  • Gives a smooth, bump-free skin after few uses.
  • Helps in clearing out the breakouts.

What I Didn’t Love much about Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner:

  • No other size available; I would love a travel size.
  • You have to regularly use it or skin may go back to square one.
  • Availability in India, which is my biggest issue!
