My Experience with Pixi Skintreats Glow Mist:
The face mist comes in a signature Pixi Beauty packaging. It comes in a clear plastic bottle with pastel green spray nozzle and cap. The bottle bears product-related information printed on it in nice copper fonts while other details like ingredients list, etc are mentioned at the back of this bottle. The spray nozzle works pretty smoothly. The cap shuts securely making this packaging fit for carrying around. The bottle is easy to carry and quite sturdy. Overall, as far as the packaging is concerned, I do not have any complaints.
The mist has a strong fragrance which feels like a blend of citrus and lavender notes. The scent is refreshing, but at the same time, it is too strong and slightly bothersome. But, I am happy that it lingers only for a very short period of time and fades away gradually. The product claims to add glow to the skin by keeping it nourished and hydrated. Also, it can be used as a makeup setting spray to add that dewy finish to your makeup.
This mist is a blend of different oils, so a layer of oil settles on the top, so that makes it essential to shake the bottle well before spraying the mist on to the face so that all of the contents mix properly. The mist takes a minute or two to settle down and dry out completely. One of the biggest reasons why I love using mists is that it can be used easily by just spraying it on the face and helps in keeping my skin healthy and glowing. Now, let’s see how this facial mist has fared for my combination-oily skin.
It makes my skin softer and smoother. I spray it on my face after cleansing and it creates a nice smooth surface to get my serum or moisturizer sink well into the skin. It helps to eliminate all dryness and flakiness. Also, it instantly revives dull skin and makes it look lively and healthy.
The formulation is so lightweight and hydrating. I was in a doubt that the formula might turn out to be greasy as it is a blend of a variety of oils, but I am glad that it is absolutely non greasy and comfortable to wear. It does not leave that sticky feel behind. I have used it a couple of times before applying my makeup and it worked really well by nourishing my skin properly, getting rid of all the dryness.
Followed by this, I use my primer to create a good canvas for my makeup. It works amazingly as a makeup setting spray, adds a nice dewy finish to my makeup, but make sure that your makeup is waterproof to avoid that flakiness. It reduces the powdery finish of makeup and helps it look more natural.
This mist leaves a slightly oily sheen on my skin when I use it as a makeup setting spray. According to the brand, the product is suitable for all skin types, but I believe that it is not suitable for oily skin at all because even though I have combination skin, it makes my skin oily after half an hour or so. But for people with dry to normal skin, I assure that no other mist can replace this one in terms of hydration and the soft dewy finish. It did not break me out at all (I have acne-prone skin). Overall, this is a fantastic multi-purpose product.
