A couple of months back, I reviewed Pond’s pimple clear leave-on expert clearing gel and I mentioned that I am using this face wash as well. I have bought this face wash ages ago and found it lying in my stash a couple of months before. Hence, I tried using it again and finally penned down the review of this face wash which was pending since ages. Let’s get into the details to know more about this face wash.

My Experience with Pond’s Pimple Clear Face Wash:
Packaging: Pond’s pimple clear face wash comes in a white coloured with teal coloured detailings, easy to squeeze, sleek tube packaging with a flip top. The flip top opens with a little pressure and closes with a click preventing any spillage; hence it is travel-friendly. The name of the product is written in the front of the tube and all the other information is provided at the back of the tube. The face wash is available in two sizes – 50 gm and 100 gm variants.
Texture and Fragrance: This face wash has a medium consistency with a creamy texture. It is pearly white and opaque in appearance just like every other face wash from the Pond’s. When it comes in contact with water, it lathers up pretty well. The fragrance is kind of different, depicting the presence of something different as an ingredient. The fragrance in mild and my sensitive nose does not find it over powering at all.
Usage/Result: Before getting into the review, let me familiarize you with my problematic skin. I have normal to oily, acne-prone skin which often faces breakouts. I get pimples because of fluctuating hormones and pollutants as well. And, I always try to prevent getting pimples from pollutants as I have no control over hormones. Most of the days, when I go out I usually come back home with tiny winy zits. In such cases, products with such claims come into the picture. Now, let’s move further to the usage.
For the amount needed to cleanse the face, I use a pea size only. Pea size amount of the face wash is more than enough for thorough cleansing. A little amount lathers up well. After lathering up the face wash, I massage over the face and neck for a minute to let the special ingredient do its work. Then, I rinse off with normal water. It gets rinsed off easily without leaving any residue behind.
Post rinsing, it makes the skin squeaky clean and there is no trace of dirt, impurities or oil. It cleanses the skin deeply and provides it with instant brightness. However, the brightness lasts only for a couple of hours and not more than that. I also feel that along with making squeaky clean, the face wash also leaves my face a bit stretchy. Hence, I don’t think dry skin beauties will like it.
The claims made by brand – reduces the pimples visibly in 3 days and prevents pimple from coming back – half is true while half not. The face wash, if used regularly for 3 days, does reduce the size of pimple in that span, but does not clear them completely. But again, the brand didn’t claim to clear them completely. About the claim of preventing the pimple from coming back is not true in my case. I have used this face wash religiously a while back, but haven’t found any positive change in preventing the pimples. This face wash almost did nothing for me in case of preventing the pimples. Aside from this, it does help in drying and treating tiny zits completely in a day or maximum two.
Overall, Pond’s pimple clear face wash is quite effective in cleansing the skin deeply. It helps in removing dirt, grime, oil and any other impurities from the skin, making it squeaky clean. The face wash does speed up the healing process of pimples and shortens the span, but does not clear them in just 3 days. It makes the pimple reduced visibly in 3 days. On the other hand, it does almost nothing in preventing pimple.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase Pond’s Pimple Clear Face Wash?
I wouldn’t be repurchasing it anytime as it does not help much in preventing pimple to me. However, if you have normal to oily skin and in lookout for a deep cleansing face wash that could speed up the healing process of pimple, then you may give it out a try. On the other note, if you are looking out for product to prevent pimples, then this is a total skip.
