Pond’s Sandal Radiance Talc – Natural Sunscreen

Ponds Sandal Radiance Talc – Natural Sunscreen

HELLO FRIENDS!!! 😀

Today, I am going to review the Pond’s Sandalwood Radiance powder. I would usually use Johnson baby powder, but on my recent visit to the chemist, I came across this one and thought of giving this a try. I bought the medium size because it had the Vaseline Total Moisture cream tube free with it. :yahoo:

About the Powder:

This talc comes in a super cute round plastic bottle with a mango yellow rotating cap. The bottle has the Pond’s logo and the name of the talc printed on a sticker which covers the entire bottle in dark & light mango yellow shades. There is also a picture of hibiscus flower and sticks on the bottle.

Ingredients:

Talc (hydrated magnesium silicate), Calcium Carbonate, Titanium dioxide, Zinc oxide, Fragrance, Dipropylene Glycol, Cl 77492, Cl 77491, Cl 77499, Titanium dioxide, Aluminium hydroxide and Stearic acid.

Usage Instructions:

Use every day, before going out in the sun to keep your natural glow intact.

Texture, Fragrance, Color and Price:

The texture of this talc is a bit coarse compared to the Johnson baby powder. Also, the fragrance is similar to that of Pond’s dreamflower talc in pink color. The color of this talc is creamish, similar to that of the loose powder compact. The price is dirt cheap, 40 bucks for 100 grams.

My Experience with Pond’s Sandal Radiance Talc – Natural Sunscreen:

I am not much into makeup like foundations etc., for everyday use, so I use the lotus matteffect sunscreen and a talcum powder instead. I am using this talc since a month. Because this talc is creamish in color; after application it looks as if I have used a foundation and compact. Initially, it gives a whitish cast, which settles after 5-10 minutes. I don’t know whether this talc keeps the glow intact after use in the sun, because I haven’t been out in the sun so much, but what I did notice is that it does impart a glow to the skin after use. My face looks fresh even if I don’t wash it the entire day when I am out. Also, the face doesn’t get oily for a long long time after using this talc. I am actually loving this talc more than the Johnson baby one and only wish that it was as fine as that. I also use this on my hands to make them look more evened out with my face color. A talc in natural shade is just wow. I am already halfway through with this one.

Pros:

1. Comes in creamish/natural tone; so it actually looks like you have used a compact.
2. Fragrance is good, not very overpowering.
3. Hides minor skin imperfections.
4. Comes in a very cute round bottle.
5. Smaller sizes available for trial.
6. A Vaseline total moisture cream free with this. :yahoo:
7. Very cheap.
8. Easily available.

Cons:

1. Ingredient list does not mention sandalwood at all.
2. A little bit coarse compared to baby powders.
3. The natural creamish shade might not suit darker complexions.
4. Might make dry skin drier.

My Rating:

4.5/5.

Will I Buy This Again???

Yes, definitely. 😀
