Popco Hide and Seek Auto Eyebrow Pencil Review

I recently bought this in my Korean products haul. I was very interested in this product because it seemed like a one-stop product and I love such products where you don’t have to fuss around with a million little steps. I have always had a love-hate relationship with my brows. I got them threaded in college, but each time, the pain was too unbearable. Now, I hardly do anything to them and they seem to have fallen into a decent-enough shape. The only thing is that there are areas where the hair growth is sparse, so I prefer filling them in slightly. I have fallen in love with this product and is part of my daily routine since the day I got it.

My Experience with Popco Hide and Seek Auto Eyebrow Pencil:

I fell in love so much with this product that I decided it would be the perfect compact one-stop product for my brows. The pencil is cut in a way that it is straight, thin and narrow and cut at an angle.

Packaging:
It comes in a very sleek and minimal black packaging. There is the pencil on end and a spoolie on the other. The pencil is protected by a black cap whereas the spoolie on the other side is protected by a clear/see-through plastic cap. When I dropped the pencil once, I ended up breaking the plastic cap and now I have thrown it away because it was too loose to be held in place. The other cap protecting the pencil is much more sturdy.

Consistency:
The consistency of the pencil is slightly waxy, but feels like a powder and applies smoothly without catching in any spot, so you don’t need a separate product for it to stay in place. It is also waterproof, which is a big plus!

Shade/Pigmentation:
This product comes in 4 shades and I am not sure of the shade name of the one I have since it is not mentioned on the package. The shade is a very cool-toned brown, but if built up, the intensity increases and the brows can look almost black. It is also quite averagely pigmented, which works very much in its favour. So, you can really control the amount of pigment you want to add. If you press down, even in one stroke, it can deliver amazing pigmentation.

For me, I have to remind myself to be light-handed with this, because as I mentioned, it is easy to go overboard and press down hard and the brows looking like they are sharpie black brows.

Longevity:
This pencil has good staying power. It stays on for a good 6 hours, after which it might fade/disappear.

Overall Thoughts:
The cut of the pencil is what makes the entire application process so easy. It is great for filling in the brows, but if you have very sparse brows and need to draw in false hairs, then this won’t do it for you simply because the pencil is a slight bit too thick. It’s main purpose is to fill in the brows. It will suit and work for a huge variety of skin tones (except blondes) and so I highly recommend it.

  1. I like the shade and I guess it would look good on my skin tone too. Pencils with spoolie are the best, they really help in better grooming. But, why have not they mentioned the shade name if it comes in four variants. :O

    1. Yeah, weird right Shikha?! I tried to figure it out from their website swatches but didn’t wanna guess wrong.
