  1. Hi , i also had same oily acne -prone skin…. my frnd had similar woes …sometime back i saw her skin is flawless and glowing …so i asked her the secret and as she was good frnd of mine she informed me dermatalogist name and address …

I am currently taking his treatment and touch wood, my face is acne free , which was never in this season. you may check out if interested this doctored is experienced and working as HOD somewhere earlier …later opened his own clinic in gurgaon (fos laser and spa).

    Contact number:- 9560398362 Dr. Ramanjeet.

I shall be visiting doctor maybe next week again and work on maintenance part..they may suggest peels for exiting scars…but you need to watch out the sun.

    1. Thanks a lot nj ๐Ÿ™‚
i will definitely go to Dr Ramanjeet. I even got to know about DR Mehta in East of kailash.

I don’t want to go for chemical peels. it makes skin sensitive, though Dr Mehta suggested chemical peels for Rs.2500

  2. Also what products they suggested for oily skin type :
    1) don’t use any moisturier at all even if skin is bit dry after wash…caus after 5-10 min skin becomes normal , plus your skin is already oily so no more oil is reqd ( not even oil-free moisturizers).

Still if you have to apply then 1 drop of lacto-calamine (there is a oil control version available in mkt )

    2) for face wash – they suggest saslic face wash ( salicylic face wash) ….
    3) when going out – can apply lacto calamine or gel based sun screen.

drink loads of water , it really works!! min 2.5 litre -> when u flush out toxins skin is acne free automatically.

drink coconut water in between it has good nutrients.

for exisiting acne scars – try paste of cinamon+nutmeg and raw milk ( checkout IMBB post …both lactic acid and benefits of these spices help)

    1. *thankyou* for all this. I am using sasylic and Vichy face washes but i think costly products never suits me ๐Ÿ™
i also had kaya cleanser which used to promote my pimples so i stopped using it.

  3. You can apply Clindoxyl Gel on your pimples (as suggested by my dermat ). It will dry up your pimples within a week ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Heyy Neha … for blackheads i’ll suggest you a very easy remedy… take a towel and dip it in hot water and rub in circular motions for 5 minutes everyday where you have blackheads… this will lead to a great reduction in 20 days… also take steam twice a week… it will help a lot *happy dance*

    1. I agree…. my way to do it is first cleanse your face and then take steam for 10-15mins which will open your pores. Then use scrub….it can be any scrub or even lemon juice + sugar granules will do. Scrub around blackheads and then splash cold water to close and seal the pores. You can rub icecubes too for sealing pores.

    2. Can i scrub my face if i have 2-3 big red pimples on cheek. I think blackheads are not able to come out of my skin as i don’t steam my face and i simply keep on applying ice on my face every time.

      1. Please never ever scrub on pimples! Itll totally irritate it and cause redness and more inflamation and ultimately leaving scar!
I would suggest you take steam atleast 2-3times a week to open your pores and then use scrub around your nose and scrub with light pressure. You can use light to medium pressure on chin, forehead and nose…. dont use pressure to scrub on cheeks or near eyes as skin is delicate and will be irritated by doing so and lead to damage and breakouts. Just massage very gently on other areas and avoid scrubbing on pimples.

If you dont prefer steam, another way is to dip a clean hand towel in hot water, squeeze it to remove excess water and place it on your cleansed face and relax for 5-10mins whichll improve blood circulation, reduce acne.inflammation as well open up pores and lets your skin breathe.

          1. Also you can use pore strips n blackhead removing tool immediately on the nose area or wherever you have blackheads…they will come out..but actually dont use the tool as it will create bumps ..dont use it for now till ur engagement..later you can..!!

            1. You have checked IMBB at 5 34am *waiting* *shock*
              Obsessed haan!!!
Oh i have never used blackheads removing strips… i would definitely try to use Neutrogena blackhead removing kit..
              *thankyou*

  5. Hi, I have acne prone very very sensitive skin.
I have been to dermatologists and trust me, even oily skin needs a good moisturizer which will prevent your skin from generating more oil if you try keeping it dry sans moisturizer.

Lactocalamine is good but it gives me whitecast to my face hence I dont prefer it. You can use it if it suits you.

I trust and use neutrogena products which are great.
Use oil free moisturizer for oily skin by.neutrogena.
Use a good exfoliating scrub but only twice a week.
I recommend lotus whiteglow scrub with yogurt and oatmeal.
Also get vlcc papaya facial kit or party glow facial and do it before your D-day incase you dont prefer parlour facials.

Besan+raw milk+honey+lime juice is excellent pack for lightening scars as well as giving glow. Just make sure you dont step out under direct sun after this pack as youll get tanned badly.

I feel and believe that to get flawless skin, you need not burn hole in your pocket. Simple measures are too good than costly products loaded with chemicals!

    1. it depends on quantity u apply and also lactocalamine has changed from what we had few yrs back..i also feel it forms bit cast but doc told it helps to save from pollution and also doesn’t irritate skin as such.

      1. for moisturizer for oily skin…

You should only moisturize the dry areas of your face. If you are oily in the T-zone, where your oil glands are concentrated, consider moisturizing the outer dry areas of your cheeks. Also, since oily skin can become significantly drier when you use an acne medication, you may find dryness in areas that were never dry before. In that case, go ahead and use a moisturizer in those areas as well. Just be sure to use a product that won’t clog your pores. The right moisturizer will not aggravate acne or increase oiliness. Look for products labeled “non-comedogenic” (non-pore clogging) or “non-acnegenic” and “oil-free” to keep skin nourished and healthy–not oily.

Also, since oily-skinned individuals tend to over-wash and strip their skin of essential oils, this sends a message to the oil glands to product more sebum. The best thing is to reduce washing frequency to no more than twice a day and use moisturizer if you still find yourself over-washing.

  6. Thanks shilpa *puchhi*
Thanks for reminding me of besan, raw milk pack. will definitely try it..
I have lacto calamine but i am not using it as it is very thick and create a layer on my face.

    1. My pleasure. Another easy and very very useful tip is grate potato and use it as face pack…it has enzymes which reduce scars. Same is with nutmeg. Buy pure nutmeg piwder or grind it at home if you can and mix with either pure sandalwood paste or raw milk and apply on face.
But i suggest you just try one remedy for 20days than going by all advices and trying everything at once which will do harm than good to your skin as it takes time for skin to adapt to a new routine.

  7. ughh.. been through that… but now my skin seems to be better than ever.. and yes a good moisturiser is a must…
Cleansing- Saslic, Cetaphil and for extremely oily skin days Medsoap, the acne one.
Toner- 2 cup of Green tea, 2 table spoon of Apple Cider Vinegar, 2-3 drops of Tea Tree oil and 8-10 non coated aspirins. For the pungent smell of Vinegar add some drops of Lavender oil.
Moisturiser- Neutrogena’s Oil free moisturiser SPF 15 with a bit of Benzyol Peroxide 2.5%.
Scrub- The Body Shop Vitamin C Microdermabrasion… HG!!!
Face pack- Aroma Magic Charcoal one and DIY pack of Milk Powder, Cornflour, lime juice and tomato pulp.
    Acne’s Point Treatment
For your Blackheads try Neutrogena Deep Clean Blackhead Eliminating Warming Treatment, Scrub, Steam and then Green Tea Ice Cubes….

    1. Oops.. my bad….
Acne’s Point treatment you can try Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% from Wallace… while with moisturiser use Benzoyl Peroxide from Galderma

      1. Thanks a lot Komlangi.
        Few questions:
1)Where can i get Apple Cider Vinegar?
2)I have heard a lot about Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% from Wallace. what is this(tube or)? will it be available at medical shop
3)Benzoyl Peroxide from Galderma. What is this? this i have to add to my mosturizer?

        1. Both Benzoyl Peroxide are tubes and readily available at Medical shops while for Apple Cider Vinegar you can try any nearby supermarkets or order it online from goodlife or zansaar…

Benzoyl Peroxide is bactericidal and is very effective against blackheads, whiteheads, and big red pimples… and works very quickly too…
Do remember to use Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% but if it doesn’t work for you… try its higher variant for spot treatment only… and usage of Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5 % with any Oil free moisturiser on daily basis kills bacteria resulting in less or no acne..

          1. Neha S , benzoyl peroxide from wallace is good iv used it too…it has aloe vera in it too so burning sensation is not there…try if you have mild acne it will subside in 2-3 days time…. but if strong or more in number then i suggest visit dermatalogist…

  8. tomato, lemon juice, raw milk, masoor dal powder .grind them and apply it on your face daily …. i did the same and it showed ๐Ÿ™‚ for acne spot treating with benzoylperoxide from galderma.
