Sheet masks are a rage in many Asian countries, and today, I am reviewing one from Purederm which is a very popular Korean brand and Korean women are known for their smooth and glowing skin worldwide. Somehow while online shopping, I have come across these many times, but never thought of giving them a try, until reading reviews on IMBB. This is my first sheet mask and hopefully not the last: P. We all love pampering and relaxing facials and masks, especially after a tiring day and this is a great way to indulge.
- Easy and effective sheet type essence mask.
- Vitamin B, Lemon Extract provides skin brightening and nutrition.
- Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate prevents skin trouble and making skin healthy.
- Vitamin E and Collagen: increasing skin elasticity and brightening.
Rs. 80 for 1 sheet mask.
My Experience with Purederm Brightening Essence Mask:
The mask comes in a rectangle plastic packaging, the packaging is white colored with all the details mentioned on the back side. The mask inside is made of a sheet and is wet due to the essence in it. The mask is cut in the frame of face, so using it is very easy as the shape will fit all faces well. At first, I was not sure how to use, it was soaking wet and then I read all the instructions and applied it accordingly. Because it may drip, one has to be slightly careful while handling it. The mask is very soft and not at all abrasive, and people with sensitive skin can also easily use it. It does have a slight fragrance, but that does not bother much and because it is a one-time use mask, it is very hygienic. It says on the packet that it cannot be used on blemishes or acne, so if you suffer from that, it is best to avoid it.
The ingredients list mostly contains some kind of chemicals and very few natural ingredients; it also contains castor oil which is not very impressive. After applying, it sticks to the skin and therefore does not slip or move, it does not make skin dry or anything like other masks, it does not dry on its own, it stays moist till the end of application. Removing it is very easy after 15-20 minutes. When I removed it, my skin was wet because of the essence and I massaged it into skin and then rinsed my skin with water. My skin did appear a lot more bright and tight, and it felt very supple, smooth, and hydrated as if it had literally drunk up a glass of water: P. It does not deep clean skin like our regular mud masks.
One can easily skip the moisturizer after using it, but the glow or the brightness barely lasts for a day; do not expect it to last more. So, overall, these masks are definitely worth keeping, as they are hassle free and also travel friendly and great before any special occasion, and I am going to try more of these.
