Purederm Cell Illuminating Hydro Pure Gel Mask Review

Purederm+Cell+Illuminating+Hydro+Pure+Gel+Mask+Review

After I saw Rati with her face mask on while travelling, I got inspired and got a bunch for myself.  The most remarkable feature of using sheet masks dipped in serum is that they are easy to use, not messy, and can be carried along during travel.  I will be reviewing these masks one by one and starting with Cell Illuminating Hydro Pure Gel mask today.  Its a bit different from the usual sheet masks, find out how:

Product Description:

Sheet Mask

Purederm Cell Illuminating Hydro Pure Gel Mask is a gentle hydro gel mask infused with high-moisturizing ingredients that penetrate deeply into skin to deliver their benefits.  You will notice the absorption of the active ingredients, as the mask becomes thinner with time.  It contains a unique blend of arbutin, green tea extract, vitamin E, Betaglucan, and other emollient ingredients to clarify uneven skin tones and lighten spots for a brighter, pearly translucent complexion.

How To Use

Thoroughly cleanse and dry face.  Open the packet and take out the upper and lower sheets.  Remove plastic films from both sides of the sheets.  Apply the upper and lower sheets onto the face and smooth out any air bubbles with fingers. Wear the mask for 20 to 30 minutes and peel off slowly from the edges.  Gently massage remaining essence into the skin.

My Take on Purederm Cell Illuminating Hydro Pure Gel Mask:

As I mentioned in the beginning, its a bit different from the other sheet masks because its not an entirely a paper mask.  Its a lot of jelly type material on a thin plastic mesh dipped in essence.  The jelly type mask is protected by thin transparent plastic sheet as well as white plastic sheet.  This type of plastic packaging prevents the hydro gel mask from breaking down.  Also, its not a complete mask, there are two parts, one for the upper face and one for lower.  You have to take out both the parts carefully with clean and adjust it on your face and smooth down to get rid of air bubbles.  I did not experience any stinging when I placed it on my face.  In fact, its very cooling and soothing.  This hydro gel mask contains green tea extract, vitamin E, and arbutin.

After 30 minutes, the gel dries up and all that is left behind is a green, thin mesh.  All the essence gets absorbed into the skin.  The peeling off is not messy at all, it comes off very easily.

Speaking about the effects, it does not “illuminate” or brighten the skin.  It does fully hydrate, soften, and moisturize the skin.  I would advise anyone using such a mask to first exfoliate the skin so that the essence gets absorbed into the skin effectively.

I loved it for the hydration it provided though a bit disappointed because it did not brighten skin.  It does not fade away scars, clarify uneven skin tone or anything.  Its just the feel-good factor and ease of application I am impressed.

Also, once opened, you have to apply both the parts immediately, otherwise, there’s a chance that it would dry up.
