My Experience with Purederm Charcoal Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes:

Any skin care product that has “charcoal” in its ingredients attracts me to it 😛 So, when I spotted these makeup remover wipes from Purederm, I was so keen to try them out. So, I picked them up immediately. Now, let’s see how far this product has lived upto my expectations.

Beginning with the packaging of the product. The cleansing towelettes come in a charcoal grey colored, re-sealable plastic packet. The packet has a peel-off opening on the top. All product-related information like product description, ingredients, etc. The packet contains 30 towelettes, which is good and travel friendly. The re-sealable plastic leaf sticks nicely and prevents the wipes from drying. Overall, the packaging of the product is nice and great for travel purposes.

The fragrance in these wipes is really annoying. Though, it is mild, it has an annoying sulphur kind of a smell that usually you can feel when you around burning fireworks. This is such a huge disappointment because most of us like fresh-smelling wet wipes, but these wipes smell really weird and unpleasant.

Talking about individual wipes, each one is a black-colored, soft and non-textured cloth. The cloth feels smooth and non-abrasive on the skin. It gently glides on the skin without causing any skin irritation. Each wipe is sufficiently moist and efficiently clean dirt and grime from my face. It leaves my skin squeaky clean, but these wipes are not that effective in removing makeup. It is capable of removing light makeup, but not heavy makeup. You would require multiple swipes to remove non-waterproof makeup.

Taking off waterproof eye makeup and liquid lipsticks is quite tedious with these wipes. It does not rob off moisture from my skin, so it is quite okay for regular cleansing of skin, but overall, these wipes do not fulfil the purpose of makeup removal. The smell is also a huge con of these wipes.
