Some Quick Hair Care Tips

Quick Hair Care Tips

haircare1

In this vacation I treated my hair with all the tips mentioned on IMBB πŸ˜€ I have always been crazy about my hair :pigtail: but still I never took care of them, thanks to IMBB, now I know some homemade hair packs that I use and it has helped me a lot to fight hair fall and other problems. πŸ™‚

But now college will start and I’ll get busy again with college assignments πŸ™ It will be a long tiring semester and I know it’ll show on my hair too :((

So I’m planning to follow some quick hair care tips.
These are some quick tips that you’ll be able to follow even in your busy schedules

:star: Oil your hair twice a week.

While oiling, make sure it reaches root and try to massage with your fingers.

Olive oil works wonders on hair. Heat up about half a cup of olive oil (Don’t overheat, just make it warm). Massage the oil into your hair
Dry Scalp – Apply oil on scalp to help moisturize the dry areas.
Oily Scalp – Avoid oiling your scalp. Focus on the ends of your hair.

Wrap your hair in towel and wash with shampoo after 20-30min πŸ™‚

:star: Easy and inexpensive way – Vinegar

Cleaning scalp improves health of hair. Rinse with a solution of Β½ cup vinegar mixed with 2 cups of warm water after shampooing. Let your soaked hair rest for a minute or two and then wash it out. A scalp rinse should be done at least once a week.

What Kind of Vinegar? Plain white vinegar works well. But Apple Cider Vinegar is favourite for hair care. πŸ™‚

If you don’t want to use vinegar in your hair, then use a good clarifying shampoo.

:star: Rinse With Cold Water

At the end of shower, rinse your hair with cold water.

After a cold water rinse your hair will be shinier, softer and sleek. When you wash with cold water, it will close these pores and seal the nutrients from your shampoo and conditioner into your hair. When your skin pores are closed, you perspire less, and you’ll have less oily scalp. Using a short cold-water rinse for your hair will make a big difference in your hair. :balle:

:star: Give your hair a break!

Forget your hair straightner, curling rod, blow dryer for a day or two. Give your hair a chance to recover the damage.

And for the rest of the days when you use a styling tool, always use some product on your hair. If not a heat protector, other product will at least create a barrier and protect your hair to some extent.

haircare3

Soak your hair with towel after washing it. Avoid using hair dryer unless it is necessary. Using hair dryer frequently can make your hair dull and unhealthy.

:star: Trim

Trimming is very important. You should get a trim according to your hair needs. If you use styling products on your hair frequently, then you should get a trim once in 8-10 weeks. Your hair will thank you. πŸ˜‰

:star: Shampoo as you regularly do, then rinse with plain water. Next, rinse your hair with a brewed black tea that has been cooled. Leave in for at least five minutes, and then squeeze out the liquid from your hair as much as possible. Let your hair dry naturally. Your hair will be darker and shinier.

I will try out some o these things next time…especially the cold water rinse. πŸ˜€

  4. Great tips, Gargi! I follow almost all of them, except perhaps the vinegar one. It just makes my scalp drier. :yuck: I love the tea rinse. It brings such shine to the hair. Another shine-inducing rinse can be made by squeezing half a lemon in a mug of water. Works equally well and keeps dandruff at bay. And I totally agree that oiling is a must before you wash your hair. At the most, it’ll take 15 extra minutes out of your time which is something that anyone can spare. :pigtail:

    1. Arre haan even I do that lemon thing!! πŸ˜€ Its works as a natural conditioner! :waytogo:
