When Raveena Tandon danced to the tune of “Tip Tip Barsa Paani,” for the movie “Mohra,” she set the screen on fire, and the world witnessed the sizzling chemistry between the lead pair – Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar. This was way back in 1994, a song picturized for the movie “Mohra,” and 27 years later, we still associate this “baarish ka song” with Raveena Tandon, soaking but blazing in a yellow saree. After almost three decades, we have got Katrina Kaif scorching on screen, for her new movie “Suryavanshi,” dancing away to the same tune along with Akshay Kumar, albeit in a metallic silver saree designed by Manish Malhotra. So, who did it better? Raveena or Katrina? Let’s find out:
This rain-themed song was originally sung by Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan and they have recreated the same magic in “Suryavanshi” as well. The music was originally composed by Viju Shah, but Tanishq Bagchi has recreated the music for the new movie. Not to forget about choreography, the remake song has been directed by Farah Khan while the original was done by Rekha and Chinni Prakash.
Now, coming back to who did it better – the new song has garnered millions of views on Youtube, but a lot of people were not happy with the remake – they felt the new version did not match up to the original version.
All opinions aside, the star to whom this song originally belongs, Raveena Tandon, has mentioned that she absolutely loved Katrina in the remake, so we rest our case.
So, whom did you like better – Katrina or Raveena. Do mention in the comments below.
