Beauty Blender is my holy grail beauty tool and I have tried many dupes, but none was as good as Beauty Blender. I have also tried Real Techniques Miracle Sponge, which is considered as the closest dupe for Beauty Blender and it is good, but not as good as my Beauty Blender. Recently, Real Techniques launched their miracle diamond sponge and I went ahead and bought it, and I am quite impressed!
This multi-faceted Real Techniques Miracle Diamond Sponge is uniquely designed to work with multiple products on different areas of your face. No two Miracle Diamond Sponges are alike – each has its own unique swirl design.
- Pointed tip covers small imperfections.
- Larger flat sides function as a wedge to apply makeup to larger areas like your forehead and cheeks.
- Smaller flat sides are great for precision contouring around your eyes, mouth, and brow bone.
- Top works great to buff and blend out your makeup for a flawless finish.
- Use wet for dewy application and dry for full coverage powders.
- Replace every 1-3 months.
- Ideal for creams, or liquids for flawless results.
My Experience with Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection Miracle Diamond Sponge:
Real Techniques miracle diamond sponge comes housed in a beautiful box. The sponge is shaped like a diamond with marble design on it.
Like the Beauty Blender, this diamond sponge is a multi-tasking sponge and can be used wet or dry, can be used to apply powders, cream or liquid. Because of its unique design, it can be used in different ways to achieve flawless finish.
I use this sponge damp, like Beauty Blender, and it expands up to ¼th of its size and was bouncier than the original miracle sponge. I generally like to use the top flat side to apply foundation and it is quite quick since it covers a large area of my face at one go.
The edge of the diamond can be used to contour face and I do achieve a good contouring effect, especially on my nose, which is quite a task for me otherwise. The end of the sponge can be used to bake under the eyes or to blend products around the nose and hard-to-reach areas.
The sponge works pretty well and distributes product evenly. It also blends product very nicely giving a flawless finish to the skin. The only problem that I faced using this sponge was with the end of the sponge – the end of the sponge is quite flimsy which makes it move around too much, making it hard to blend the product around the nose.
I like this sponge and I think it’s totally worth the price, but still there is something about Beauty Blender that none of the other sponges in the market can match up to 🙂
