Red Grape Face Pack and Body Scrub – Do It Yourself

Hello Lovely Ladies,

I am back again with a DIY for all of you. I love eating fruits; I like them so much that I can survive with just fruits and nothing else. Over the time, I learnt that different fruits have different goodness and benefits for our body and skin. So, whenever I eat any fruit, I try to incorporate that in my skin care too. Some days back, husband dear went crazy with fruit shopping and got home 2 kilograms of red grapes. It is impossible for just two of us to finish 2 kilograms of grapes, so I made grape juice, but I did not feel like throwing the pulp away.  I have read that grapes contain antioxidants such as flavonoids, resveratrol, and tannin. These antioxidants are great for skin and are also good skin whiteners. Grapes contain a large amount of amino acids which are essential in the rebuilding of skin cells. They also contain high amounts of B vitamins along with potassium and iron.

So, after knowing all these benefits of red grapes, it was unwise to throw away the pulp. Read on to find out the step-by-step process to make red grape pulp face pack and also body scrub.

Red Grapes Face Pack:

Step 1:

Take two spoonfuls of red grape pulp in a clean bowl.

Step 2:

Add 1 tablespoon of sandal powder to it.  Sandal powder works like a base to create a paste-like consistency which can stay on face. Now, mix them together.  To get the desired consistency, add a few drops of grape juice.

Step 3:

Apply this mixture on clean face. Rest for 10 minutes, then wash your face with cold water.

That’s all; you will find less visible pores and revitalized skin. You can use this face pack weekly once or as and when needed. Also, if you don’t have sandal powder, then use Fuller’s Earth instead.

Red Grape Body Scrub:

Step 1:

Take 5 spoonfuls of grape pulp in a clean bowl.

Step 2:

If you have used grapes with seeds, then you can skip this step, else add 4 spoonfuls of sugar in it.

Step 3:

Add 2 spoons of almond oil or olive oil in it. And one spoon of honey.  Adding honey is not compulsory, I like to add it for its moisturizing and therapeutic properties.

Step 4:

Add a few drops of your favorite essential oils to make the scrub nice smelling. It is not a compulsory step, I skipped it as I like the smell of grapes as it is.

Step 5:

Mix all the ingredients and keep it in a clean, dry, and air tight container, if you want to store it for later use.

That’s all, your red grape body scrub is done. You can store it for a week if your refrigerate it.

While using this scrub, wash your body with soap/body wash first, then apply this scrub on dry skin. Don’t use it on wet skin, as this is an oil-based scrub, it will not stay on the skin if the skin is wet. Apply it all over your body, massage in circular motions, pay attention to drier areas like knees, elbows, etc. then rinse off with warm water. No need to use soap again, as the oil in the scrub will get washed away with just water; it won’t stain your clothes at all.
The honey and oil in the scrub takes care of the moisturization part; still if needed, apply your favorite moisturizer and enjoy smooth, rejuvenated skin.

  3. I used to use it but it really itches so badly on my skin. But I still would do it knowing how good it is until I recently noticed broken capillaries on my face, just stopped after that. 🙁
