Treadmill is excellent example of a good aerobics workout. Exercise on it is a great way to burn calories, stay in shape and achieve your desired physique.
Exercises using a treadmill:
The thighs and butts can be a problem area for some, but with proper cardio and toning, you can achieve great results. Follow these workouts to tone your thighs and butts.
For a bit of fun on the treadmill, turn to your side with the speed set at 2. Try this going to your right, then turn around and do the same to your left. This is a great workout to tone your abductors and adductors. Do 2 minutes on each side. Repeat this workout 4 times (depending on your fitness), then cool down with the speed at 4, for 5 minutes.
Front and back:
To tone the quadriceps and the hamstrings, use the treadmill in the common front-facing way. Begin the workout with a comfortable speed and incline that keeps you in an easy jog.
Backward treadmill running:
Set the treadmill to a high incline and set it on a low speed. Stand backwards on the sides and hold on tight to the side railings. Walk at this slower speed, focusing on extending the thighs with each step. Each step you take is like doing a leg extension. Go for as long as you can.
By increase the incline on a treadmill, you will be toning your hamstrings and gluteal muscles.
To get some additional butt and thigh workout, place the treadmill at an incline. Pause the treadmill at regular intervals and perform a set of either squats or lunges from the incline position to get rid of fat from your body.
