After reviewing the body epilators, I have finally got my own facial epilator. This one looked sleek and affordable hence, I thought it was a good investment. Although body epilators claim that they can be used for facial hair as well, I feel a slimmer pinpointed hair removal system can be handy.

My Experience with Remington EP1050CDN Smooth and Silky Facial Tweezer System:
I have to say that, though the epilator looks sturdy and very pretty in pink, I find some plastic parts to be flimsy. The epilator comes with its own battery, just one. You can always use your rechargeable batteries with this to save cost. The epilator also comes with a tiny brush and another cap. The deal with the cap is that it never fits, and if it does, it just springs back out from the place. Hence, I have stopped using the cap. Remember this is not waterproof or washable, so chances of bacterial deposit are high. I usually use that tiny brush on it after opening the plastic head. The epilator has tweezers that are thin, I find them quite flimsy, honestly. My body epilators have a sturdy steel tweezer mechanism.
Coming to the very important part, hair removal. This has to be moved in a circular motion on the chin or upper lip where you find facial hair. When I first tried it straight, this did not work. Only when you see how to hold it, and move it in a circular motion, you can feel the hair being pulled out. You might have to figure it out before you give up. It works fine but, has to be held in place sometimes for a stubborn removal. The efficiency is average, it is not the best to remove the hair in one shot.
Coming to the downside, the epilator feels rough on my upper lips. You have to barely graze the head of the epilator on the skin, do not press it or else it will feel rough and harsh. For my chin, it does not. My upper lips skin is sensitive, but just remove the hair with a very light touch, not really pressing it on the skin. The battery has lasted me for more than ten times of usage. Hence, replacement is easy. It fits snugly at the back and the lid over it fixes well. I don’t use it on my body but, you could use it for underarm or knuckles where hair growth is less.
Pros of Remington EP1050CDN Smooth and Silky Facial Tweezer System:

- Can be carried around.
- Battery operated.
- A light touch on the skin in a circular motion will do the job for you.
Cons of Remington EP1050CDN Smooth and Silky Facial Tweezer System:
- I find the head harsh on my upper lips, so do not press it on the skin.
- The tweezers feel flimsy.
- Battery changing can be a bother for some.
- The hair plucking efficiency is average, nothing phenomenal.
- Works only in circular motions for plucking the hair.

Will I Recommend/Repurchase Remington EP1050CDN Smooth and Silky Facial Tweezer System?
If you have a body epilator, try to use that for the face as well. I don’t think you really need to get this one.
