How are you all doing? The summer is just killing us here in Mumbai. Thankfully evenings are better, so that we could think of stepping out of our houses and go somewhere.

Now coming on to today’s product for review. It is Remington Frizz Therapy Hair Straightener. Earlier I had an old model of CHI straighter. But after reading so many articles and seeing some damage that CHI straightener did to my hair, I wanted a straightener with temperature control. I did some research and settled with this model and ordered it online. My hair is getting frizzy now a days and also has lots of waves which I don’t like. They make my hair look unkempt. I wanted something which will make my hair bit respectable at the same time do minimal damage. If you have time, then I feel that it is better to run through the straightener rather than blow drying the hair (well I am yet to get straight hair with a blow dryer by myself. I find it really hard and I don’t have that patience to dry my hair from root to tip to get the straight hair.). I also think that regular use of hair dryer causes more damage too. My Experience with Remington S8510 E51 Frizz Therapy Hair Straightener

The straightener comes in a beautiful purple color (yes girly one ). It has various attractive features like, advanced ceramic coated plates infused with frizz resistant micro conditioners, various temperature settings, temperature locking to avoid sudden surge in temperature, auto switch off, worldwide voltage (this was one of the important criteria I was looking for), Locking of plates for easy and compact storage, comes with a heat protectant pouch, floating plates etc.
The straighter has various temperature settings starting from 150 – 230 degrees. It takes up to 30 secs to reach the desired temperature. Depending on the hair texture, you should set the temperature. I am currently setting the temperature at 190 or 200 degrees. I just want to make my hair free from frizz and make them look bit manageable. I don’t intend to make them poker straight because in this summer, I don’t want to leave my hair open. In the picture below you can see how it makes my hair look naturally straight and free from frizz. This effect lasts for around 2-3 days until I wash my hair again. I am happy with the product. If I wish to let my hair open for a certain function or outing, then I can increase the temperature and I will get it. While straightening, I do not get the burning smell, which is a big plus point. It also glides very smoothly avoiding any hair breakage while using the product.

The size of the product is just right, neither too small nor too big to be carried. It is light weight which makes it very convenient to use. It took me just 6-7 mins to achieve the result shown below. You just need to have your hair dry and free of knots before using this straightener. I am happy with this purchase.

I would recommend this product. My recommendation is mainly because, it comes with various temperature settings and I am yet to get the burning smell while straightening. I feel a girl/woman feels good if she is happy with the way she looks!!It is not that one needs to have straight hair to look good, it’s just that the way the her hair looks should make her happy!!
