Yeah, yeah ! I am into too much skincare lately. First, it was all about firming and now it’s all about brightening. Remy Laure was known just for their black mask, but after the success of their black mask, they have been launching amazing skin care products. Today, I will be reviewing one of the products. I have used both ‘Day’ and ‘Night’ brightening serums by Remy Laure. I was not a big fan of the night serum, so I didn’t repurchase it. But since I love the day serum a lot, here’s the review!
Price: INR 3595
Remy Laure’s Brightening Day Serum has been formulated to lighten pigmentation spots and contribute to an even and bright skintone, while providing moisture and nutrition during the day. Its vegetal extracts provide a soft and progressive brightening action.
Aloe vera : plant with high water retention power, rich in vitamins B and minerals. Regenerating action.
Macadamia nut oil : extracted from an australian tree, 80% of unsaturated fatty acids, nourishes and gives suppleness, while protecting from external agressors.
Squalane : similar to skin’s sebum. Extracted from olive oil. Softening and Moisturizing actions.
Jasmine : precious extract with moisturizing and brightening properties.
Peach leaf :calming action and control of melanin (responsible for skin pigmentation).
Raspberry: this fruit contains strong flavonoids and antioxydants, iron and vitamin C. It favors cellular breathing, which clarifies skintone.
Apple : contains malic acid (soft and natural AHA) which improves hydratation and fades away pigmentation spots.
How to Use:
On a freshly cleansed face, apply in upward motion
My Experience with Remy Laure Brightening Day Serum:
It comes in a pump glass bottle with a transparent lid on top. The name of the brand and product are printed on the bottle and the rest of the details are printed at the back. The pump dispenses the right amount of the product.
The texture of Remy Laure Brightening Day Serum is neither too thick and nor too runny – it is right in the middle. It has a gel-like consistency which sinks into the skin instantly after application. It feels quite lightweight on the skin. After the serum gets absorbed, the skin feels velvety smooth and soft. My skin also doesn’t feel tacky or sticky after application. I had used this last summer as well and I could see my skin getting clear after 15 days of regular usage. My acne scars were getting lighter. It evened out my skin tone and improved my skin texture.
My only complaint is the scent. The scent is quite strong which doesn’t fade away even after application and it doesn’t provide enough hydration. So, you need a moisturiser on top of the serum. Remy Laure Brightening Day Serum also has no SPF so you also need an SPF. It doesn’t irritate my skin or cause any acne or redness, which is a plus.
Pros of Remy Laure Brightening Day Serum:
• Light texture
• Sinks in instantly
• Skin feels smooth and soft
• Evens out skin tone
• Reduces acne scars
• Improves skin texture
• Doesn’t cause redness or acne
Cons of Remy Laure Brightening Day Serum:
• Scent doesn’t fade away
• Not hydrating enough
• Absence of SPF
IMBB Rating: 4/5
