Rene Furterer Fioravanti Clarify and Shine Rinse Review

By Bella V.

Hello beautiful ladies,

For a long time now, I have been on the hunt for a product that magically makes my hair shine. You know how you see all those superficial ads on TV and wish your hair was as shiny as the models? Yup, I want that too. I’m sure all of you have at some point read on beauty blogs (IMBB, duh!) about the beauty benefits of apple cider vinegar. Vinegar is known to clarify and instantly add shine to your hair. You cannot imagine how excited I was when I found this product. So, the product I am reviewing today is the Rene Furterer Fioravanti Clarify and Shine Rinse.

Rene Furterer Fioravanti Clarify and Shine Rinse

Product Description:
Revives ancestral traditions of vinegar rinses. This ultimate shine-enhancing rinse tightens hair scales and neutralizes hard water while detangling for exceptionally shiny, soft and lustrous locks.

Ingredients:

Rene Furterer Fioravanti Clarify and Shine Rinse

  • Fioravanti complex of 14 plant extracts such as Ginger and Cinnamon:Tightens the hair cuticles and provides shine.
  • Cherry vinegar made with Chilean Acerola cherries: Neutralizes hard water and boosts shine.
  • Cationic detangling agent: Facilitates styling.

Price:
$27 for a 250 ml bottle.  Expensive, yes. I like to think of it as the price for guaranteed quality.

Packaging:
The product comes in a classic Rene Furterer emerald green packed bottle. What I like about this bottle is that it does not just have a cap that can be turned to remove; but, you can twist the cap to pour out the amount of product you need and twist it back to seal it shut. How cool is that? I find the packaging very modern and handy. There is no fear of the liquid inside leaking. Also, the bottle is lightweight, so you can carry it with you when you travel.

My Experience with Rene Furterer Fioravanti Clarify and Shine Rinse:

I started blow-drying and straightening my hair back in grade 9. I have thick medium hair. The volume is almost still intact; no idea how. Thanks to my amazing genes, I guess. However, I cannot say the same for the radiance or texture. My hair can be incredibly dull, especially when I don’t wash it for more than two days. Recently, I bleached my hair to fulfill my long-time dream of having highlighted hair. This was my rescue product.

The product is a white liquid which I use after my conditioner, with cold water. Somehow, in my head, I feel cold water helps the product get sealed in. The vinegar smells like vinegar. No surprise there. Some may say the product smells very “chemical.” As a Cosmetics student, I understand how complicated it can be to compile a formula that is both natural, and does a great job. Hair products especially, can be very challenging. I do not find anything chemical in the product and I feel these are claims of people who know very little about chemical compositions. Yes, of course the product has preservatives in them. It does not make the product harmful. It is vinegar; and it smells as nice as a vinegar-based product possibly can. In fact, I find the smell quite pleasant.

How did the product work on my hair? First of all, I’d like to say that I did not have great expectations. That has nothing to do with the product. It’s just my hair. It’s beyond repair. I once did the keratin treatment and that’s the maximum shine I ever had on my hair. A product obviously, can only give you limited shine. Post usage, I found my hair really shiny. Clarified is the word I’d use to describe it. It claims to facilitate styling and I feel that worked for me. I did find it a lot easier to comb through and straighten. After using this, my hair felt sealed. It was smoother and easier to detangle.

So, who is this product for? For anybody who feels their hair is dull and lacks luster. It worked well for me. I finally feel I have gotten rid of my dull hair; the appearance is much healthier. Please don’t forget to read the instructions when using it. I feel it’s vital for the product to function correctly on your hair.

The only thing I can complain about is that I found that the amount of the product in the 250 ml bottle got used up pretty quickly. Maybe I use a lot of it? I don’t know. I don’t think so. The 250 ml bottle lasted me for about a month and a half. So now, I have limited my usage of it and only use it when I need my hair to look special.

Pros of Rene Furterer Fioravanti Clarify and Shine Rinse:

  • Boosts shine.
  • Helps detangle hair better.
  • Smells pleasant.
  • Lives upto its claim.

Cons of Rene Furterer Fioravanti Clarify and Shine Rinse:

  • Expensive.
  • Amount of product is too little for its price.

IMBB Rating:
4.5/5

Would I Repurchase Rene Furterer Fioravanti Clarify and Shine Rinse?
I think I have to. Since my bottle is over so soon. Haha: P On a serious note, I feel the Rene Furterer Fioravanti Clarify and Shine Rinse has become a part of my hair care. So, yes, I will continue to buy it. From my previous post on the Rene Furterer mask, you already know how smitten I am by this hair care brand. Again, Rene Furterer does not disappoint.

  1. Bella, this post kind of an eye opener. I always thought chemical smell = something wrong with the product, but now I know better 🙂
