Retro Makeup Look: Winged Liner, Classic Red Lips
Cali requested for a Retro makeup look. Here is my take. I have done a classic pin up look – winged eye liner and red lips. Hope you like it. 🙂
Start by priming your eye lids.
Apply peach eye shadow all over your eye lid up til your brow bone. I am using all matte eye shadows for this look.
Now take a medium brown eye sahdow
And apply it all over your crease. This is just to give dimension to your eye.
Now take a darker brown eye shadow and apply it on the outer corner of your crease.
Now the liquid liner. We are trying to create a winged liner. Depending on your liking, you can thicken the line or create a longer wing. I would be keeping a short wing and thin line.
Start from the center of your upper lash line. It’s okay if you mess up a little, you can always go over the liner or cleanup with a Q tip dipped in makeup remover. Reapply the eye shadow wherever necessary.
Move towards the inner corner. Keep the liner thing towards inside.
On the outer corner just push the liner upward with a brush and the create a little triangle , as shown in the pic. Fill in the triangle with the black liquid liner. You can create a longer wing as well. 🙂
Curl lashes and apply mascara.
Now for the Classic Red lips. 🙂
I am using a red lip liner from Bourjois. For some reason it has a weird smell. Sucks! 🙁
Anyway, mark your cupid bow’s and the center of the bottom lip first. Then trace the red lip liner around your lips.
Fill your lips with the red lip liner. This would prevent any smudging or smearing of lipstick.
Now take your red lipstick. I am using a cherry red lipstick.
and apply it on your lips.
That’s it. Your retro makeup look is done.:) You may wear pearl necklace with this look. Also tease the crown of your hair a bit to create that retro hair do. I didn’t have a hair spray so may hair were going flat. 🙁 You may also do a side bun. You can accessories your bun with bows or shiny clips.
Here are the products I used : Coastal Scents 88 Palette , Make Up For Ever HD Foundation, MAC Studio Finish Concealer, MAC Heartless Lipstick ( Venomous Villains Collection),Bourjois Lip Pencil, Estee Lauder Maganscopic Mascara, Lotus Kajal, MAC Painterly Paint Pot, Lakme Black Impact Liner.
Here is the final look. 🙂
