Today, I am going to review my first ever body wash. I have always been reluctant using body washes because most of them don’t lather much (I have tried Palmolive body wash long back). I feel incomplete until I get a squeaky clean feeling, which is not possible until the body wash lathers well.
I had used RevAyur Lip balms (slider cap tub packaging) sometime back and kind of liked them, so while doing some online shopping, I saw this. To give this brand a shot, I bought this.
- Luxurious unisex soap free body cleanser.
- Uniquely formulated with fruity beads of watermelon which moisturizes and rejuvenates.
- Its fresh fruity fragrance makes bathing a relaxing experience.
- Removes dirt without stripping essential moisture.
- Gentle enough for daily use.
- Leaves skin with abundant moisture to prevent dryness.
How To Use:
Pour small quantity on palm. Massage gently to break the beads. Apply on moist skin with a luffa. For best results, work up rich lather. Rinse off thoroughly. Removes dead skin cells especially on dry skin area such as elbow & knee.
Available in 2 variants:
Rs.250 for 185 ml(got it at 10% discount).
24 months from the date of manufacture.
Watermelon Extract, Acrylates crosspolymer, Disodium EDTA, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, PEG 400, Preservative, Cocobetain, Triethanolamine, Color, Perfume.
I wasn’t aware that I will get something else with this. It was packed inside a plastic box with a loofah as a free gift. I totally liked the idea of the gift with the shower gel (who doesn’t like to have free gifts).
The plastic box also contained the pictures of watermelon on it ().
It comes in a see-through plastic bottle with a silver color (aluminium) cap.
It has red and green colour beads all through the bottle. The gel itself is lemonish-green in color.
I looked into the bottle from the opening and I liked it. I so wanted to dive into the gel. It also contained information about the loofah.
This is how the loofah looks like.
My Take on RevAyur Fruity Body Wash – Watermelon:
I haven’t tried any body wash since long, so got this for trial purpose only. I liked it in the pictures on the online shopping website and added it to my cart instantaneously. I like to indulge myself in good-smelling shower gels and soaps in winters, so that they can tempt me enough to take a bath in this chilly weather. :shying:.
Coming back to the review, I loved the beads running all through the body wash. It has gel-like consistency and not at all runny but kind of a solid. It has a very mild fragrance which doesn’t stay for long. The beads are soft but needs to be pressed to be broken. They have small scrub particles that might help in removing the dead skin cells. It lathers well but not much using a plastic loofah. The loofah provided with the shower gel can be used for scrubbing purpose. It is soft on skin and not at all harsh but somehow it eats up all the lather. I feel fresh and smooth after using this. It keeps the body moisturised after the bath and no stretchy feel. It gets removed easily, no slippery feeling, but only soft and smooth skin.
Swatches: Red beads are bigger in size than the green ones.
(The red contains minute black granules).
Pros of RevAyur Fruity Body Wash – Watermelon:
- It has a very mild fruity fragrance.
- It lathers well and not much of the product is required.
- The beads are soft and has very minute scrub particles.
- The body feels smooth and moisturised.
- I got a loofah for free with this.
- Complete ingredients is list mentioned.
Cons of RevAyur Fruity Body Wash – Watermelon:
- Packaging could have been better. Either a tube or pump dispenser would have been good.
- Availability is an issue, although it is available on online shopping websites.
- It is difficult to get the product out of the bottle after 2-3 washes itself :spank:.
- I would have liked it more if the fragrance stayed a little longer.
Do I Recommend RevAyur Fruity Body Wash – Watermelon?
I think it can be given a try but there are lots of other shower gels available in the market. Although, it stands true to most of its claims, but getting the product out of the bottle is such a pain.
