Revayur Lip Sliders Tinted Lip Balm – Mango Review

Revayur Lip Sliders Tinted Lip Balm Mango Review

I first saw this brand some 3 years ago when I saw a whole counter of Revayur in Big Bazaar in Pune and then I also saw it in D-Mart I believe.  Initially, I thought this is some “bhai behen” 😛 of Ayur, our very own desi brand :P, but seems like this is a separate brand and was kept close to the likes of Shahnaz Husain and VLCC.  So, the whole appeal of the brand and the name sounds very herbal, something which doesn’t lure me much. Nevertheless, I had picked up some cleaners and some tinted lip sliders from the brand long ago and I hardly ever used them.

This avatar of the sliders is a new one and I must say that I haven’t seen this kind of sliding lip balm much in India, though I have seen many in Youtube videos.  Initially, the packing wasn’t as good, but this time its better, nothing cute, but better. They have some flavour and I got the “mango” one since we have been in the whole mango hogging mood off late, regardless of any weight loss efforts 😛

The tub is a cute steel one with a cute picture of a mango on the cap 😛 It could have been better definitely, but since this is a unique packaging we have here, I will give it some benefit of doubt. The balm itself is large and there is so much balm in there, which I don’t think I will ever be able to finish. I have been addicted to my TBS Born Lippy Lip Balms off late, which I have reviewed, but still this slider seemed like a lot of fun.

The balm texture is very light and softness is average. The feel is just like Vaseline Petroleum Jelly honestly, a little thicker than Vaseline to me. The balm is not gooey, but it has to be swiped on and on and you may even need to scrape it off.  Then, the amount that you get is like some light oil and hardly any balm.  I don’t know whether to say that this is a good texture or not because it is subjective, but still the feel of the balm on the lips is light too.  The balm is not meant for any repair for very dry lips or anything, but more like a maintenance balm. The whole sliding feel is cute and I like to keep it accessible for fun and just go dab-dab.  As its very light, it just vanishes in some time.

Revayur Lip Sliders Tinted Lip Balm Mango

The fragrance, now since they have named it mango should have been appealing, but it isn’t.  The smell is very faint.  They call it tinted but its not tinted at all.  Its a very light, thin, film of oil to me when I swipe it on.

Last Word:

So, overall a very light, stiff and average balm for maintenance.  There is no fragrance and no tint, just a cute sliding tub. You can try this lip balm  for the sliding tub, nothing else!
