Polishing Scrub

My Experience with Revayur Walnut Polishing Gel:

This comes in a plastic tube packaging with a small nozzle to control the quantity that you actually require. It is a gel which is light brown in color. It has tiny dark brown color particles that actually perform the scrubbing function.

You only require a small amount of it to “polish” your face. You can always use more if you want to. Taking out too much and applying too much can be bad for skin with products, as it robs of moisture (this is why you see “follow up with XYZ Moisturizer” as part of directions on the products.  This actually happens with me, since my skin is combination type. Lesser I apply, I don’t get results. More, I apply, my skin starts getting flakes, but, this is not the case with this scrubbing gel.  It moisturizes and controls oil at the same time.

Scrub

Pretty much as it claims, it does. I could see a noticeable difference in my skin after the first application itself. It brings a glow to my face. It does not impart any redness or yellowishness as most chemical and organic products do respectively. It reduces the tan on the skin to an extent as well, something which RevAyur Beautifying Gel could not really do.

However, there were certain reservations as well, or more of because I am expecting more out of the product ;).

It does not really do much to the blackheads – something a person with oily/combination type will look forward to.  Though it subdues (and not removes) tan to an extent, the effect does not last for more than 2 days or so. You need to scrub it on a regular basis.

I would suggest my IMBB readers to be a little careful while scrubbing since this product is primarily for oily/combination skin types and oily skin people happen to have acne. This may get aggravated if you get aggressive. Though, it has not been with me.

Pros of Revayur Walnut Polishing Gel:

  • Inexpensive.
  • Lasts long.
  • Moisturizing without making the skin greasy.
  • Gives skin a radiance that is noticeable.

Cons of Revayur Walnut Polishing Gel:

  • Does not remove blackheads.
  • Should be used regularly, it is not once-a-while product.

IMBB Rating:

4/5.
