The Body Shop Satsuma Body Mist Review

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Mist

Hi lovely ladies,
the body shop satsuma body mist
I want to review one of my recent purchases that I have been using everyday for the past week – The Body Shop Satsuma Body Mist. As you know, TBS came up with 8 of these body mists matching with corresponding body butters, shower gels, and beautifying oils for each fragrance. I saw 8 of these when I was in Dublin, but I only saw about 4-5 of these in India. I am not sure if all 8 are available in India yet. I have seen Strawberry, Shea, Moringa, Satsuma, and Vanilla.

Anyhoo, coming on to the review, the fragrance I picked up was Satsuma as I am very fond of fruity fragrances, especially in summers.

Price: Rs. 645 for 100 ml, which is pretty neat for the amount you get

Packaging: Comes in a classy orangey glass bottle with a convenient pushdown sprtizer, which is very easy to use. The bottle looks very summery. I won’t say its very travel friendly as it’s a glass bottle, but the size is pretty okay.

Fragrance: When I picked it up I wasn’t sure what Satsuma is. The SA explained it’s a small citrusy fruit much like oranges – small oranges to common people like you and me ☺
Coming on to the fragrance, I think this is by far the best body mist I have used so far from the TBS. I feel like I am sitting in an orange orchard and bathing in cold sweet orange juice when I spritz it. I find myself reaching for this mist ALL THE TIME since I bought it, over my other perfumes and mists. It makes me feel super fresh and cool and the fragrance has a wonderful cheery effect on me. The smell is citrusy, strong and very noticeable when you enter a room but not nauseatingly sweet. I know that because I have a very sensitive nose and feel very sick if I smell something overly sweet. I am somehow reminded of ‘Gold Spot – the zing thing’ whenever I smell this.

Staying power: A couple of spritzes are enough and it easily stays on me for 5-6 hours. So the bottle will last me quite long. I have also bought the Satsuma body butter – so when I use this mist over the body butter it easily stays on me for 9-10 hours although not as strong as when you spray it initially.

Rating: 5/5

Overall verdict: This is my go to mist these days and I totally love the freshness of it. If you are fond of fresh, citrusy, summer scents, then you should not give this a miss. Highly recommended! And buy it along with the body butter if you want the fragrance to last longer and layer it up!

  1. I’ve put this away to be used in summers. Currently loving vanilla, but it stay on me for long. Probably because I don’t layer it with the shower gel and body butter from the same range.
But seriously, this one has way longer staying power than the other TBS body mists.

    1. Yes I went to the store quite a few times and spritzed each of the mists on me and came out just to see which one stayed on me longer. This won hands down!
      Thanks a ton 🙂
