Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter – Sugar Frosting

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter – Sugar Frosting

Hello to all the beautiful faces out there!

How have you all been doing? Well it’s an odd changing season phase and I’m facing a severe dry period, my skin has never been so dry. I hope my skin soon finds some nourishment and it gets ready to cope up with the heat of Rajasthan! Phew!

Well coming to the review part today I’m going to review a lipstick! Yeah, well I’m not a lippie kind of girl, lipsticks and me, naah. I kind of opt for nude glosses and lip balms, but lipsticks have their own charm. So today I’m going to review a Revlon Lipstick, from its Lip Butter Range.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter Sugar Frosting

I was cruising around the Revlon counter and trying some lipsticks when I landed up to this one particular shade and hence ended up in buying it.

Product Description:
Buttery Shiny balm- Gives shiny colour to your lips, with softer smoother and hydrated lips.
Works like a balm and gives a smooth and shiny look to your lips. Glides easily on your lips giving a sheer shiny and look with moisturised lips.

Price:

650 INR

Packaging:

  • Sturdy
  • Cute pink cover with black base (I like the colour combination)

Texture- Pink Shimmer

My take on Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter – Sugar Frosting:

I so like the shade, when it was on my hand, I do not like it much on my lips. Yes it was kind of my mistake I should have been more clear about picking shade but then I thought I’ll wear it with my gloss.
Okay so now talking about the lipstick, it is really my first time dealing with a lip colour, so I m a first timer, but seriously the lipstick is so smooth and it does not dry up my lips.

Though I don’t like the shimmer too much but the smoothness and the moisturising effect of the lipstick is super good. It does give me the feeling of using :lip butter:

The lipstick glides on your lips easily hence no need to put a lip balm or anything prior using it. You can simply glide this stick on your bare lips without worrying about the chapping and drying of the lips.

Staying Power-:

The next thing comes into the mind is the staying power of the colour, I have this misconception about the lippies having shine and moisturizing effect does not long last. I don’t know but I do have this thing in my mind, so, after using this lipstick I sort have changed my mind.

The stay is long for 2-3 hours, and lips stay moisturised and smooth, so this my first pick for the lippy range is a yay yay!! Also the thing that I did not liked about is the pigmentation of the lipstick, in my opinion the colour could have had been more strong giving nice pinkish and silvery shade.

Summing up, pros of Revlon Colour burst lip butter:

  • Super smooth, buttery smooth
  • Glides well, can be used on bare lips
  • Shiny texture (glossy look)
  • Average stay power
  • Cutely packed

Cons of Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter – Sugar Frosting:

A bit expensive!

  1. I agree Gulnaaz ..some colors totally look koool but tell a diff tale when applied hehheheh 🙂 .. yup u can just use this one as a lip balm or top it with some other shade 🙂 …nice review 🙂 and they hav increased the price ..whats rong with them.. it was already overpriced 🙂

  2. @Neha.. yes u should try one, but get some nice shade 😉
Nidhi. Ya im using it with a nude gloss 🙂 its better dat way 😀
yes dey are actually overpriced, 🙁 but a good shade would have definitely made a difference on my part 🙂

  3. nice review gulnaaz….!!:)
they have increased the price to 650 INR??? :O
i don’t think i can ever afford a lip butter ,that too not a natural one for 650 rupees!! i will be happy with himalaya’s lip balm!!:/

  4. I bought two lip butters today (at INR 600 :D). They’re AMAZING! I bought Lollipop and Candy Apple and I’m really happy with the purchase. But this shade isn’t worth the money.. Nice review 🙂 But 50 bucks more, oh no 🙁

  5. They last only around an hour on me 🙁 The price would have been justifiable had the quantity been a li’l more. I finished one in less than two weeks.

  6. I am fan of revlon lip butters. Have almost eaten up my orange one. loll!! This one is a really nice natural color. totally like dit on your lips. 🙂

  7. What ? they have increased the price ! Seems they want revlon just bitten kissable balm stain to be sold more which are available for 600 INR.Good Marketing strategy ;);)
Some of the shades just look good in the bullet however when applied they just dont show up well. One more downside is they have more shades in pink and red tones I would also want some shades in brown tone.I have red velvet and pink truffle they have quite good pigmentation. But as the name suggets “Butter” I have to keep my expectations low for the pigmentation side. However nice review Gulnaaz. You have a cute name :):)
