For a polished and perfect lip look, apply foundation on and around the lips before lip color. Foundation helps to prep the lip area for a more flawless application and helps lip color last longer.

This is one of the three balms I picked up. Others – an orange-red and a hot pink.This one looks like a unique color not to wear on its own but I would like to mix it up with other pinks.Also I am not a fan of tints and balms, I like thicker opaque lipsticks. The testers had this as the most opaque and thick color.The other shades available were little too sheer for me. So I got this one.

The color is a super milky pink.This is the color that could wash out many and would stand out on warm skin tones. The color goes on very thick and opaque. In fact some may find it very cakey or paint like too. It goes on smooth but you would hardly see any product being used on the bullet.It works like that, you need very less. You can see this color covers the lip darkness in one swipe. In two swipes it kind of settles in lip lines.

The texture is unlike the other matte or lacquer balms, which feel sheer. If you are into thick matte lipsticks, then you will like this one. If you like to wear lighter sheer and light on the lips lip colors, then skip this one. Also some slight problem you might find it that initially it looks like it hydrating matte but over some time,it starts feeling dry and you see it settled in the lip lines.

It lasts for a very long time since it is matte.It does not transfer at cups etc much. It lasts on me easily for 5 plus hours because it kind of sets to dry matte but lips do not feel dry or anything.In fact it feels quite light on the lips.Also the product required is very less, but the quantity you get for 800 is less too. This comes in a twist up mechanism unlike many chubby sticks so there is no wastage of the product.The length of the pencil is only half of what you see on the case.

Also a very important and obvious factor I would like to mention is that these smell very very minty.After you apply it the mint fragrance lasts for about 3 whole minutes and there is a very mild tingling sensation with it. I love mint so it is okay with me, but if you do not like tingling lip products or mint, take a call 🙂

I recommend it for cooler skin tones, who like paint-y matte and milky pinks.Otherwise you can skip this one. I have pale lips so it looks even lighter on me, on pigmented lips this would show slightly darker 🙂
