Trying to hold on to the winters with this winter-appropriate shade from Revlon 😛 Colorburst lipsticks by Revlon need no introduction and here is the review on the shade “Plum.”
INR 599/- for 3.7 gm.
Innovative pigments provide immediate, high-pigment color release on lips with a feather light feel; moisturizers and antioxidants, including sweet almond oil, improves lip texture. Elasticolor technology hugs lips with a burst of virtually weightless color and moves comfortably with lips like a second skin. It contains film-forming polymers for longer wear and skin conditioning properties. Naturally fragrant with vanilla absolute and is paraben free.
My Experience with Revlon Colorburst Plum Lipstick:
I think enough has been already said about the packaging of the “Colorburst” lip colors from Revlon, so I would not repeat. One thing that is slightly bothersome is that this particular shade does not have a color-coded packaging. Other shades have a colored sticker at the base, somehow Revlon chose to ignore this poor baby 😛
The texture of this range in general is superb and this shade is no exception. These lipsticks from Revlon just hug the lips, giving it a beautiful texture and feel. It is non-drying, adds moisture to the lips in a way that you can completely skip applying a lip balm beneath. It feels lightweight on the lips and to keep the comfortable feel alive, I tend to skip the lip lining process.
The shade is a pretty dark berry shade with micro shimmers which add to the glamour of the shade. It is a perfect party-wear shade for various age groups. The shade can be beautifully paired with light smoky eyes and dirty pink blush.
The staying power varies from 4-5 hours with a bit of fading, depending on the food and fluid intake. For a creamy lip color, it is a pretty good staying power as most of them tend to fade in 2-3 hours. I have a problem with the shimmers which stay back on the lips even after removal of the lipstick. Thankfully, they are not gritty and do not travel all over the face.
Pros of Revlon Colorburst Plum Lipstick:
- Gorgeous shade.
- Feels hydrating on the lips.
- Does not settle into the fine lines of the lips.
- Paraben free.
- Stays on for a decent amount of time considering it is a creamy lip color.
Cons of Revlon Colorburst Plum Lipstick:
- This particular shade did not have not color-coded sticker to it.
- Shimmers stay back.
- Funny smell.
- This color would be available in other budget brands.
