Today, I am going to share my experience with a hair color. I never colored my hair before and I was super excited to try this new product. So, I bought the Revlon Color’N Care Permanent Hair Color Cream – 3RV Burgundy. Read on to know how it fared for me.

My Experience with Revlon Color’N Care Permanent Hair Color Cream – 3RV Burgundy:

Like all other hair colors, Revlon Color’N Care Hair Color Cream comes in a long paper box with all the details printed on it. This box contains one Colorant Cream, one Color Developer, one Color Protection Conditioner and one normal plastic glove. Overall, it contains all the required things to color your hair. The colorant cream comes in a nice white plastic bottle with a screw on cap and the color developer cream comes in a pink colored tiny tube.

Both the packagings are nice and the quantity indicator helps in dispensing the right amount of product from each tube. Also, I can store the product for future purposes. The conditioner comes in a pouch which can be used for a single time. Also, the glove fits well and since it is a unisex product, it comes in a bigger size.

I mixed the colorant and the color developer together in a bowl and combined the mixture until it formed a smooth paste. Once then, I parted my hair into equal sections and gently applied them from the roots to the tips with the help of a brush. I actually left few strands to get a mix-matched look. You can apply it according to your convenience. After that, I kept it for around 1 hour and then, I rinsed my hair with normal water. I didn’t wash my hair on that day and I applied the conditioner alone while rinsing my hair. On the next day, I used the shampoo and washed my hair which helped me to achieve that perfect burgundy color.

So, this hair color cream has a smooth soft texture that easily blends into my hair without feeling sticky. It is a very smooth and lightweight cream. The hair color has that strong smell of ammonia yet it never damaged my hair. It detangled my hair and made it look smooth, soft and shiny. I never expected such amazing results from this product. Even after two months, my hair still looked healthy and shiny.

Talking about the color, yes, it colored my hair nicely. I actually have a reddish brown hair so, the color ‘Burgundy’ didn’t create any huge difference in coloring my hair. It looked almost the same except that it looked a little more reddish and bright. Actually, the color looks the best under sunlight than under the room light. This burgundy shade will look beautiful on Indian skin tones and it suits all hair colors nicely. If you have a light hair color, it will make your hair look brighter. But honestly, it is not a super bright burgundy shade, yet it can cover the grey hair nicely.

This is a permanent hair color and hence, it lasts longer. After 2 months, I can still notice the color on my hair. It doesn’t wash out quickly and it never made my hair dull. I also didn’t take any extra care or never used any color protecting hair product but, if you take sufficient care, it will last longer. I never faced any extra hair fall issue with this.

Overall, I like this product and its quality very much. Though the color didn’t create any huge difference on my hair, still I liked it. Actually, I expected a totally different look from this one, but it looks normal. Maybe it happened just because I have a naturally reddish hair. But, it performs nicely at this price rate. It is good to be used at home and if you are a beginner then, you can try it just to experiment the color as it will not damage your hair.
