Revlon is that one brand on which I really rely for my hair colour, and genuinely I haven’t come across a better brand than Revlon as far as hair colour is concerned. At-home Revlon kits are super convenient to use and they give results as good as any reputed salon or professional would. This time, I tried a darker colour as I wanted to colour my new grown hair as well as remove the extreme blonde colour from old hair too. Let’s see how this one looked!

My Experience with Revlon Colorsilk 4N Medium Brown Ammonia-Free Permanent Haircolor:
Revlon Colorsilk is one such brand that I have been using for a long time now. Now, finally after years, I thought of reviewing it. After using the shade Light Brown for years, I finally thought of coloring my hair a shade darker than usual as it was turning out to be extreme blonde especially on the camera. I normally go for lighter shades because they tend to really show up on the hair unlike the darker ones. It comes in a big box which has a cream and one colorant bottle. I mix them in the bottle itself which has a nozzle. The nozzle makes it very easy to distribute on the hair evenly without missing a single portion.
The texture is good enough and moderately thick. So basically, it does not leak while applying on the hair. The smell is a bit obnoxious because it contains a lot of chemicals. The main problem with the colour is that you cannot use it next time because the mixture of the cream and colourant cannot be preserved. I keep it for a good amount of 50 minutes and then wash it off without the shampoo. I wash it with cold water and then apply the conditioner. The conditioner sachet is provided along with the hair colour which does an amazing job. It totally smoothens out the hair and makes it tangle-free.
The reason why I consider this better than other brands is because this one gives the colour that they show on the box. My hair does not look damaged after washing. Infact, everytime I colour my hair, it looks super glossy, smooth, soft and silky. The colour does not get faded even if you shampoo daily. This shade looks very natural and won’t give a sudden transformation and you wouldn’t regret applying this one. It is a natural brown with a hint of blonde gold to it. It looks beautiful and the hair color is much more like those princess tresses which we adore totally!
It changes the look of your hair especially if your hair is black. Plus, it is available globally, so touch-ups will also be pretty convenient. But, just be careful before using this because this is a hair colour that does not suit everyone. I do not know how well it covers grey hair because I do not have it. But, I think darker shades will do a better job to cover grey hair rather than these lighter ones. Overall, this is my HG brand and do try it, it may work amazingly for you too!
