Often you all have asked me which hair colour do I use? So I think it is time to review my favourite hair colour that I am using since years. I have used almost all the brands available to us as I love experimenting with brands. No offense but L’Oreal and L’Oreal crème gloss did not gave me results I expected. It did not look like I coloured my hair. Streax was an option which gave perfect colour but it had too many chemicals. And then came the day when I came across this and I would rate this as the best among all hair colour brands.

My experience with Revlon Colorsilk Hair Colour- 51 Light Brown:
I have been using Revlon colorsilk from a long time and now after years I thought of reviewing it finally. I purchased the colour that is called “ Light brown”. I normally go for lighter shades because they tend to really show up on the hair unlike the darker ones. It comes in a big box which has a cream and one colorant bottle. I mix them in the bottle itself which has a nozzle. The nozzle makes it very easy to distribute on the hair evenly without missing a single portion. The texture is good enough and moderately thick. So basically it does not leak while applying on the hair. The smell is a bit obnoxious because it contains a lot of chemicals. The main problem with the colour is that you cannot use it next time because the mixture of the cream and colourant cannot be preserved. I keep it for a good amount of 50 minutes and then wash it off without the shampoo.
I wash it with cold water and then apply the conditioner. The conditioner sachet is provided along with the hair colour which does an amazing job. It totally smoothens out the hair and makes it tangle-free. The reason why I consider this better than other brands is because they give the colour that they show on the box. My hair does not look damaged after washing. Infact every-time I colour my hair it looks super glossy, smooth, soft and silky. The colour does not lessen out even if you shampoo daily. I picked up this shade, which is a blend of coppery and golden shade. It changes the look of your hair especially if your hair is black. But just be careful before using this because this is a hair colour that does not suit everyone. I do not know how well it covers the grey hair because I do not have it. But I think darker shades will do a better job to cover grey hair rather than these lighter ones. Overall this is my HG one and do try it, it may work amazingly for you too.
Pros of Revlon Colorsilk Hair Colour- 51 Light Brown:
-Quantity is really good and enough for a global coverage
-The hair did not get damaged after using this one
-My hair picks up the same shade that is denoted on the box
-The colour does not lighten even after washing hair a lot of times
-The conditioner accompanied does a super job of making the hair really smooth
-After colouring my hair look glossy, smooth and soft
-Available in stores as well as online stores
Cons of Revlon Colorsilk Hair Colour- 51 Light Brown:
-The colour mixture cannot be used next time, since it is made in the bottle and the mixture is harmful to use after certain days
Will I recommend/repurchase Revlon Colorsilk Hair Colour- 51 Light Brown:?
Yes totally I have been using this since long time and this is my HG hair colour. I will totally recommend this if you are looking out for a change from your normal hair colour. It does the job pretty well and there are a variety of shades available to choose from.
Conclusion: This is one of the best hair colours that I have used and love the effect that it gives. Anyone looking to change out your hair colour completely should surely try this out.
