Revlon Colorstay Aqua Mineral Finishing Powder Review

Revlon Colorstay Aqua Mineral Finishing Powder

Minerals are a rage. And so I went ahead and purchased this one as the Body Shop didn’t seem to give enough coverage. Also the cooling effect claims of this product attracted me. Was this one worth enough? Let’s find out.

Price: Around 980 Rs after discount for 9.9 gram.

Shade: Translucent light medium.

What the jar says:

NEW Colorstay Aqua Mineral Makeup delivers a burst of hydrating coconut water and an instant cooling sensation upon application. The result: your skin looks luminous and its texture smoother. With a shine-free formula that’s made with water, not oil, this lightweight powder gives you a fresh, flawless finish that lasts all day.
Fragrance free and non-irritating.

Provides medium coverage in 8 beautiful shades, with SPF 13 protection.

My experience:

The best part about is the cooling sensation you feel on application which does not ofcourse stay. It doesn’t provide a good coverage but it is after all a Finishing Powder. So it’s a nice product to apply after your foundation .It gives a nice natural matte look. This product will not make your face look done up at all so if you looking for something like that, you would be disappointed.
The small brush it has is one of the smoothest ones, almost like the TBS brush.

Does give a minimized pore look for quite some hours.

PROS:

  • Excellent brush.
  • Cooling claims true.
  • Mattifies face for sum hours.
  • Best for Natural look
  • Doesn’t have shimmer like the aqua mineral foundation.

Cons:

  • Not worth the price.
  • Brush is small for application.

Will I repurchase?
No. It’s expensive for the results it gives.

  1. Oh, so pretty, I remember an advert of this with halle berry flaunting the foundation 😀 but yea pricey, phew.meant for people with absolutely blemish free skin i suppose ..

  2. I have this….same shade too….i like it as far as a powder goes but it caused me to get blocked pores and therefore whiteheads……i was only surprised that those whiteheads didnt turn into pimples…..i bought it for 1100 Rs and its lying in some corner of my wardrobe all untouched…

  3. Yeah..it lied in some corner ..but then one day I woke up to realise how expensive it is..and I use it on and off :p

  4. i am currently looking out for a good setting powder. Surprised that the brush coming with the powder actually works. 🙂

  5. Hey Girls…Thanks a lot…
But nothing special for the nails..Manicures which are not even regular…I do not apply nailpaint very often..thats about it 🙂
