Hope you are doing well. I am more into eye makeup these days. I am trying out new eye make up products and experimenting with eyeliners. My makeup vanity case was in a big mess for quite some time; it was high time it needed some cleaning and organization. When I was sorting my makeup stuff, I found this pencil which I bought a few months ago. After using it for a couple of times, I had almost forgotten about it. I am using this pencil more often these days and thought I can now share my reviews about the same with you all.

My experience with Revlon Color stay Eyeliner Charcoal:

I was always a black eyeliner person until I started following IMBB. I drew my inspiration to try different colored eye pencils on my eyelids from IMBB. The Colorbar i-Glide pencils were my first ones for trial purpose. After that, there was no looking back I would say. I have become an expert on how to make different colored eye liners work for me. I remember when I picked this particular one, I wanted something subtle for my eyes for day wear when I want to maintain a soft look.

The pencil comes in a nice retractable plastic packaging with a cute little sharpener on the other end. The sharpener is a small one to sharpen the tip of the pencil. The sharpener is like a removable part of the pencil and after usage, it fits back into the pencil in a nice concealed way. The best part of the product is that the unused pencil tip can be slid inside the plastic casing to avoid breakage. The pencil cap fits tightly and the product casing is of a sturdy material.

The texture is not very smooth and I have to apply a little force for a good darker application. This is mainly because it’s matte and not very creamy. I realized that the tip of the pencil becomes hard if exposed to air for long. Hence, I started closing the cap immediately after usage and noticed that it was easier to apply this way. The content remained better with less exposure to air.

I found it impossible to apply it on the waterline and mostly use it only as an eyeliner. The color is a nice soft grey and can be built to give more intensity. It settles fast and needs to be smudged quickly in case you want a soft smokey look. The eyeliner stays set without smudging for a decent 7- 8 hours after which it fades off. It’s easier to remove with any eye makeup remover.
