Revlon Colorstay Gel Eyeliner Plum Prune-Review

Hi everyone!!!

Recently, I was looking for good gel eyeliner and I found Revlon Colorstay gel eyeliners. These come in beautiful shades of black, brown, plum and …. (I am sorry, I don’t remember the fourth one :-P). I love purple eyeliners and hence, I got this.

My experience with Revlon Colorstay Gel Eyeliner Plum Prune:

It comes in a very beautiful packaging, similar to the liquid eyeliners. The concept of including the brush in the cap is very genius and makes the packaging very convenient. The brush is included in the upper half of the cap. You need to detach it, turn it upside down and attach to the cap, so that when you open the bottle, the cap can be used to line the eyes because of the attached brush. It is difficult to explain it here, so I have shown this in the pics below.

Plum prune is an absolutely gorgeous purple color with silver glitter in it. I fell in love with this color the first time I saw it. It is completely opaque, but still I prefer to swipe it twice to build the color. If you are a fan of purple eyeliners, you should definitely check this out.

The texture of this eyeliner is very soft and creamy. I never expected it to be so soft because somehow, I have always found Maybelline gel eyeliners to be hard. It glides on very easily and the thickness of the brush is appropriate for making both thin and thick lines. The amount required for a single swipe is more than the usual amount I require with other liners, so this makes it this eyeliner quite pricey for the amount given because it’s quite tiny.

The glitter doesn’t spread on the eyelids and the eyeliner doesn’t crease, smudge or settles into dry patches. It stays for almost whole day with double swipe. With single swipe, it fades after 4-5 hours, it doesn’t smudge but it just fades. This eyeliner has the advantage of being waterproof.
