Revlon has launched lipsticks, lip liners, foundation, eyeliners under its Colorstay range. I am a big fan of plum coloured lipsticks! No matter how many lip liners, balms and lipsticks I have in my kit, I can never ger enough of plum shades. I think plum is the most versatile shade that can be worn for any occasion! Be it office, dinners, weddings or any kind of outings, they really fit well. A couple of months ago, I have purchased Clinique Intense Cosmo (which is a nice soft plum shade) but, when I spotted another gorgeous plum shade from Revlon; I didn’t bat an eyelid to think twice about buying it. So yes ladies, here is the review of Revlon Colorstay Lip Liner in the shade Plum/Prune.

My Experience with Revlon Colorstay Lip Liner – Plum:
The lip liner comes in a regular size and it is a retractable lip pencil. These retractable lip and eyeliners are so convenient. They are so simple, hygienic and hassle-free! Just a twist and you are ready to apply. The base and the cap of the pencil are in plum shade representing the shade. Well, it also has a built-in sharpener at the end of the pencil which is quiet well-located and convenient to use. Honestly, while buying this lip liner, I was so enthralled by the shade itself that I didn’t know that this sharpener existed. I realised only when I was clicking images for IMBB! Well, thank you IMBB! 🙂
Oh, the shade is stunning! It is a nice, deep plum shade which suits my ‘typical’ Indian medium skin tone. The texture is smooth, fine and even delicate! As it’s little fragile, you need to be careful while applying as it has a tendency to break. The good part is it’s true to its claims. The pigmentation is really strong and it easily lasts for more than 6 hours. Quite impressive right! It perfectly defines your lips preparing for lipstick. It is little dark, but you can increase the intensity of the colour with a couple of more swipes.
It holds a lot of moisture and as a result of this feature; it doesn’t dry out the lips (to match the liner, you would need a cream lipstick or a lip primer). As already mentioned about the ingenuity of plum shade, this lip liner matches many of my lipsticks. Be it pink, plum, raspberry or even nude lipstick, this liner would look good. This lip liner holds a fine and good quality and there is no feathering or spreading at all. I am applying this liner daily and I am pretty impressed by the shade, durability and quality. It is not as moisturising as my earlier Clinique Intense Cosmo lip liner, but surely it does a good job.

Sure! Why not! This is a beautiful shade and not just this one, Revlon offers so many wonderful shades for you. Go for it. Well, certainly this shade is awesome, but I so love plums, I would like to try another plum shade from a different brand.
