Hi guys, hope your day is going well. Today I’ll be reviewing a new launch from Revlon. I’m so glad Revlon finally released the colorstay moisture stain lip glosses in India. I was waiting for these stains since forever andI was actually jumping with joy when spotted these at the lifestyle store in Mumbai. I picked up 2 shades- India intrigue and Barcelona nights. I’ll be reviewing the gorgeous Barcelona nights for you all today.

Packaging:

It comes in a typical Revlon packaging- sleek black tube with a transparent base, so you can easily see the color of the gloss. What I love about the packaging is the wand. It a very different looking applicator, if a heart and a rectangle had a baby it would look like this applicator. 😛 The applicator is slightly bent so it’s very comfortable to use unlike the very straight ones.

Shade:

The shade Barcelona nights is a very pretty raspberry pink shade. It brightens up my face instantly. The shade suits any skin tones. Anyone who can rock bold colors should go for this shade.

Texture and finish:

As it’s a stain gloss, the texture is watery yet creamy. It is similar to L’Oreal lip stains just a tad bit more creamy. It glides on smoothly and evenly in one stroke. It’s not at all sticky and doesn’t feel heavy on the lips. Its super glossy and hydrating, perfect for dry lips. The only thing that bothers me is the smell, lip glosses should smell like candy but this one has a very funny smell.

Pigmentation:

The pigmentation is very good considering a stain gloss. It goes opaque in one swipe unlike the L’Oreal stains. You will get a bold dramatic color if you layer it twice. It doesn’t look patchy on layering but it can bleed so be careful. You can reduce the intensity by applying it lightly.

Staying power:

I wore this stain gloss and went for a movie. It stayed on me for 3 hours + in spite of me munching on popcorn throughout the movie. The gloss wears off but it leaves a stain behind. The stain was stronger on the edges of the lips which drives me crazy. So, I always have to reapply it after 3 hours.
