Revlon Shadow Links – Gun Metal
Hello beautiful women,

Bringing to you one more dud from the Revlon Shadow Links range of eye shadows. I will try not to repeat all that I have already said in the previous reviews of Taupe and Eggplant. But this is equally a non-performer so pardon me if I rant a lot.
I was so hopeful about these that I picked up four shades at one go. But sadly all of the shadows are equally poor in pigmentation and in terms of showing up on the lids.

Price: Rs. 175/- for 1.4gm
My Experience with Revlon Shadow Links – Gun Metal
Texture and pigmentation– the texture is smooth on swatching with fingers. It comes off on finger tips pretty well. Pigmentation is poor when you tend to use brush. The texture is not too powdery but satin on fingers. Problem is the patchy application on the lids. Surprisingly the shadow does not apply like a satin finish eye shadow on the lids.
Staying power– stays for 3-4 hours with base. I have used Ponds BB cream as base and it stayed for maximum of 5 hours but after 3 hours it starts to look patchy. Very unimpressive from a brand like Revlon.
Packaging– comes in a small cute click box which can be attached to others from the same range and created a customized palette. All details about the product and shade name is mentioned at the back of the case. A very smart and intelligent thought from a drugstore brand.
Revlon was really thoughtful in creating the customized palette. But they have completely made a blunder in the pigmentation and application area. I am yet to figure out why the shadow does not show up on the lids.
The shade is pretty and ideal to create smokey eyes. If you are able to layer on to create the pigmentation it might be good for both day and night wear. My EOTD is missing again all thanks to the awful pigmentation of the shadow. Will try to create a look in the near future for you all.
