Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede – Catwalk Review

Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede – Catwalk Review

Hello IMBB beauties,

How awesome does it feel when you yearn for something and you get that as a surprise gift? Sounds fun, isn’t it? The same happened to me a few days back. I was craving to try one shade from the Revlon Ultimate Suede range but somehow I missed it, but then as it says if you want something real bad, it will come to you. I got the shade 065 Catwalk as a gift from my darling sissy. She picked up this on her recent trip to the mall without even knowing how much I was longing to try this shade.

Packaging:

Catwalk comes in bullet shape, where the lower half is the shade of the lipstick and it has a transparent cap. The top being transparent hints the shade that is inside. At the bottom, a transparent sticker mentions the shade name and number.

Finish:

Catwalk is super creamy on application. It glides on well on the lips, slowly it settles as a long stay, slightly dry lipstick on the lips.

Pigmentation:

This is not a full coverage lipstick. You have to swipe 2-3 times to get the real shade but this can be considered a positive point as some people like to wear it sheer when it comes to long-wearing lipsticks.

Staying Power:

Though it has high claims regarding the staying power, I am slightly disappointed regarding this. Once the lipstick settles down on the lips, it stays on for 5-6 hours. It should stay on more as per the claims but my lips started to become dry and I removed it completely.

My Experience with Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede – Catwalk:

I have a mixed feeling about this particular lipstick. It is of course very special as it is a loving gift and at the same time I had high expectations from this particular range. Initially, the lipstick is smooth on the lips and is pretty easy to apply but after an hour or so, the lips start to dry. You have to use a lip balm or a moisturizing lip gloss on top.

Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede – Catwalk 5

My lips are not so dry otherwise, but this made my lips so dry after a couple of hours that it looked patchy and I had to remove it. Also, I must mention that an oil-based makeup remover is required to remove the lipstick completely. The shade is a shimmery burnt orange shade which will look superb on medium to dusky tone beauties. I am happy with the shade as this is an addition to my ever-growing collection but dry lips should steer clear from this range.
