I hope you all are not missing the daily doses of my review and I hope it helps a lot. I have been holding hands of IMBB constantly for 3 years now and it has changed my life in many ways, made me eminently addicted to make up, made me a cosmetic freak in front of my relatives and friends, but you know? Whatever the world says, this blog is a paradise for me. And now when I have completed the 100 reviews milestone in the blog, I am feeling that I am on ninth cloud. I counted it late as I was so excited and busy to write regular reviews on IMBB, so think according to my count I had completed 107 reviews on the blog. And I think I am writing my 110th review.
Details: This velvety soft formula with moisturising shea butter and aloe is food-proof and doesn’t quit. Available in 20 suede shades. Apply once and go.
- Instantly moisturising, all day colour
- Shea butter, aloe and Vitamin E
- 92% of women felt lips were creamy and instantly comfortable.
The lipstick comes in a decent, attractive and sturdy packaging. The half part of the bullet body is colour coded with an additional outer transparent covering and the other half is black in colour with a transparent see-through cap. The lipstick is safely housed in the black case. The case makes a click sound as you’ll twist the lipstick higher. The tube feels a bit bulky but has a sturdy built up. The packaging is a win over for me.
My Take on Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Socialite
Shade: Socialite is a warm peachy pink colour with very finely milled light emitting golden shimmer particles in it, which gives the colour a mild sheen and a bit of warmth tone. The colour is a pretty shade and is apt to wear everyday for office and college. The colour may not suit variety of skin tones; there are chances that darker skin tones may look washed out in this shade. I’ll suggest only light to medium skin tones would go for this; others should check the shade at the counter and then go for it.
Texture, Finish & Pigmentation: The texture of the lipstick is creamy and smooth; it glides like a dream on lips, no dragging or pulling during application. It melts like butter and feels quite comfortable and very hydrating on lips. Initially just after application the lipstick feels creamy but it kind of settles down to a suede finish lipstick after 7-8 mins of application and once the lipstick settles down it’ll neither smear nor bleed nor does it fade away with meals. Now coming to the suede finish, does it really live up to the claim? Suede finish means neither be very glossy or lustrous or nor truly powdery matte, there will be a dull velvety or satiny touch to it. And the lipstick really gives a dull suede velvety appearance on lips. The formula of the lipstick is sheer but the pigmentation is very buildable, in 2 swipes it covers my slightly pigmented lips very well. You can actually control the intensity of color on lips as per your liking; the lipstick won’t become cakey on layering. But applying lip balm prior application of the lipstick will hinder the even application of the color, so I would suggest.
Staying Power: The lipstick lasted on me for almost a whole day. It is really long wearing, it lasted on me for 8+ hrs and after that I removed it with a remover and in between I ate golgappas, noodles and chappatis in my dinner and the lipstick neither does it fade a bit nor turned flaky. The color won’t get transferred onto anything. It lasted on my lips and I was continuously feeling the hydration on my normal lips. The lipstick is perfect for office going beauties as it lasts almost up to the working hours without the need of touch-ups.

Will I Recommend Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Socialite?
Yes, definitely and you know I didn’t face the flakiness problem with this one which I somewhat noticed with the previous shade ‘Womenswear’, maybe Revlon had improved the formula of the lipsticks. Every office going beauty should have one of these, you can choose from wearable to bold shades, I think all the shades are very wearable and pretty in this collection.
Would I Repurchase Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Suede Lipstick in Socialite?
Yes, if not this shade but surely the other ones and especially I am surely gonna pick the shades Trendsetter, Fashionista and Backstage.
