Hello gorgeous gals,
I am pretty sure you all know by now how much I am loving these new makeup brushes that have been recently launched by Revlon. I do own 7 brushes so far and I am on the lookout for the remaining 3 brushes – Revlon Lash and Brow Groomer, Revlon Powder Brush and Revlon Foundation Brush. I have visited my local Walmart a zillion times so far searching for them, but in vain, but I am sure, I will make it someday! Anyway, today the makeup brush that I am reviewing is the Revlon Concealer Brush. So, let’s dive right into the review.
My Experience with Revlon Concealer Brush:
This is the only concealer brush that I have so far. Actually, I have never felt the need of purchasing a concealer brush because there is only one concealer that I use for my under eyes regularly and that is my Holy Grail Benefit Erase Paste. And if you have used Erase Paste, you that it is a pretty thick concealer. For applying a concealer of this consistency, my favourite makeup tool is my ring finger! I kid you not, no brush or sponge (even the Beauty Blender) does a better job at blending concealer as my fingers; maybe it’s just me, but I strongly feel so!
So, let’s talk about the packaging. The packaging this Revlon concealer brush comes in is luxurious and gorgeous which makes it look so professional, like all the other Revlon brushes. It’s made of plastic but still the handle of the brush is like a matte finish material with red detailing at the bottom. Also, the neck of the brush has a glossy shinny red rim which looks so chic and classy. Also, the outer packaging of these Revlon brushes is very fancy. I must say, that Revlon was smart to package these brushes so beautifully because they knew people would ignore the price tag and get these babies home.
Revlon’s Concealer Brush does not shed or feel scratchy or rough on the skin. We need to be really cautious with products that we use under our eyes, whether it’s skin care or makeup, or even makeup tools. I use this brush for applying concealer, but not under my eyes. It works great to apply concealer under the brows, to sharpen them and also to clean up lipstick application. The size of the brush handle is perfect and does not weigh too much, which is a great thing. It fosters smooth makeup application and is fairly easy to wash.
Overall, I am super impressed with these brushes by Revlon as they offer great quality and ease of application. The price sure is steep, but I can overlook that for this good quality and packaging.
Pros of Revlon Concealer Brush:
- Super gorgeous packaging.
- Feels luxurious and professional.
- All brushes have a “diamond grip handle” as Revlon calls it.
- Bristles are super soft and of high quality.
- Brush handle is of correct size and weighs correctly.
- Blends makeup well.
- Easy to clean.
- Does not shed.
Cons of Revlon Concealer Brush:
- Steep price tag.
- Not available in India.
Would I Recommend/Repurchase Revlon Concealer Brush?
Well, I would say this brush is not for everyone to use on a daily basis. If you consider applying concealer with a concealer brush or use it for cleaning the eyebrows or lipstick, then surely go for it, but it is definitely not a must-have brush in your vanity. I would suggest skipping this one and rather buying the blush brush, contour brush and/or kabuki brush by Revlon as they will offer more usage and are much better.
