Revlon Diamond Lust Eyeshadow – 105 Plum Galaxy
Rs. 500 (check out all shades Rati has shared here. I had been looking for these all over Chennai and had managed to find two shades which were silver and pink one, which I knew would look too white on me. I had been wanting to get the black, blue and plum ones and I did pick up two recently from Shopper’s Stop (one more shade review coming up). For all of us who were waiting to see these on IMBB, I mean a review and how it would look in an EOTD, I did one now, really nothing much, but I wanted to show you all how it looks in real.
Please make nothing of it, but I have applied a navy blue and black shadow in the crease just to give definition, but otherwise, the plum alone was making for a fantastic “smokey-clubbing-makeup,” but I still thought I can’t wear a single color alone.
Initially, I had thought, gosh, these look so glittery and wondered who was going to use it and when; I had to give one shade a shot, but then, I ended up getting two! When I swatched them, I thought they were still very glittery and shimmery to be used, and said to myself, “let’s see when I am able to utilize these.” But finally, when I applied it on the eyes, I was amazed, it really looked so pretty with the deep plum showing underneath all the glitter and shimmer and I was so happy to have picked up the plum. Plums, aquas and khakis are my most favourite and its my first time with a multi-coloured glitter shadow honestly and I am loving it to the core.
The plum like you can see can be layered very well and it has a lot of shimmer and glitter which shines to a blue and gold hue. I thought it’s a little too loosely packed, but when I applied it, the fallout was minimal, much less than any other regular shimmer shadow.
The plum I would say is aptly pigmented and the shimmer too is good and optimum, not to make it look over the top, neither too dull, if you were to sport it for a night party or clubbing. I think the pigmentation is decent too and these feel soft and gritty at the same time when you swatch it because the glitter is a little coarse and not finely milled, but that’s how it is supposed to be. It looks lovely when the light hits it and makes it great to be worn as a smokey eye for a party.
I think Rs. 500 is a good price to pay considering we don’t get such glittery single shadows in such wearable plums and blues. Considering it is from Revlon, we may consider getting a quad for a price tag of Rs. 650, but those are mostly satins and mattes.
The staying power is good too, for my oily eyelids, it stays on for maybe 5 hours without getting rubbed off if I build it up properly; a good job for a shimmery/glittery shadow I feel.
If you are fond of plums, glitter and shimmer on your eyes, willing to spend half a grand on a single shadow, and consider Revlon a decent brand, you might want to swatch all the five shades at the counter for sure.
Last Word on Revlon Diamond Lust Eyeshadow – 105 Plum Galaxy:
Decent, minimal fallout of glitter, nice shades in deep plum, blue and black and two lighter ones may be for highlight in white and pink. I think Rs. 500 on a pretty, single eyeshadow, which is pigmented and buildable is a good deal. Check them out!
