These days, I am on a look out for a super nice brown eyeliner that I can wear in the daytime,any suggestions?. I usually wear black eyeliners, but these days I am into a lot of colorful eye pencils. This weekend I decided to search my vanity drawers to see how many colored eye pencils I own and how many of them have expired! It was then that I remembered this eye liner from my vanity that I bought 2 years ago but never really used it after then. Read on to know how this Magic Eyeliner Pencil in the shade 94 Flirty Brown turned out to be.

My experience with Revlon Flirty Brown Magic Eyeliner Pencil :
Texture and pigmentation: Firstly, the most disappointing fact about this eyeliner pencil is that it does not show up on my eyes. I have a complexion that is somewhere between medium and fair still it didn’t worked out for me. When I swatched this on my hand it looked chocolate-y brown with golden shimmer but when I actually used it on my lids it looked horrible. Pigmentation of this eyeliner pencil is therefore quite bad and even 100 swipes will not be enough. It’s not silky smooth to apply and quite rough sometimes.
Also, it has so many irritating golden shimmer particles that they get scattered on my face and make me look like a Christmas- tree ornament ( I know I am being mean but, I can’t help it).The shimmer particles are not micro but, they are not really chunky either. I don’t think that it will look good on any Indian beauty except for the ones with a fairly light milky-white complexion. However, it is waterline safe and didn’t irritate my eyes.
Staying power: This particular shade smudges and starts to fade off within 2 hours of application even when it is not hot or humid outside.
Packaging: Few good things that I can find with this eyeliner are that it is sturdy and travel- friendly. It has a brown colored cap and bottom too, so if you own more than one shade of this you can easily locate the one that you are looking for by checking their caps and bottoms.
Also, since it is in the form of a sharpening pencil instead of a retractable one it is more hygienic to use. This particular point can be a con for some as it also wastes a lot of product. However, that’s not the case with me I prefer sharpening pencils over retractable ones not only for the hygiene purpose but, also because I like using a little pointed tip of eyeliner pencils to draw thin lines.
So summing up all the pros and cons of this product;
Pros of Revlon Flirty Brown Magic Eyeliner Pencil :
• Travel-friendly.
• Doesn’t irritate water lines.
• Has a cap and bottom of the same shade.
• Comes in a sharpening form.
Cons of Revlon Flirty Brown Magic Eyeliner Pencil :
• Quantity and quality at the provided price is too bad.
• Shows up differently on my hands and on my eyes.
• Has irritating golden shimmer.
• Not suitable for daytime as it has golden shimmer.
• Fades off within 2 hours of application.
• Is not smooth to apply and quite rough at times.
• Not suitable for Indian skin tones.
• Ingredient list is not mentioned.
• Shelf life is not mentioned.

Will I repurchase / do I recommend Revlon Flirty Brown Magic Eyeliner Pencil ?
No, I will not repurchase this pencil or for that matter, any eyeliner from Revlon again. They had cheated me earlier too with their felt-tip eyeliner. I don’t recommend this pencil to anyone since there are far better options available in the market today.
