Today, I am reviewing an eye product. It is from Revlon. It is Grow Luscious Plumping Mascara. I have used a couple of mascaras from Maybelline but never from Revlon. I had used the Maybelline Colossal and I liked it a lot; however, it dried. I bought this one in “Blackened Brown.” Read on to see how this worked on my flat lashes:

Apply Grow Luscious Plumping Waterproof Mascara to lash tips and let it dry for 30 seconds.

My Experience with Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Waterproof Mascara:

Mascara is one of the key products in our makeup kitty. Sometimes just mascara adds that look that cannot be done by the whole makeup. People like me who have some dark circles tend to avoid products on the water line like kajal.  I personally prefer to use mascara or a liner on lash line (top) because it gives definition to my eyes and my eye circles do not look prominent.

This mascara comes in a very classy packaging, in green and silver.  It has a simple brush, nothing different, but the brush is long. It makes the application easy. I apply 2-3 coats to get the desired effect. It stays for a long time and I have to use an eye makeup remover to get rid of it. It does not smell of the chemicals that usually come from mascaras. Some people might not like the long wand, as it can be difficult to apply.

Now, it elongates the lashes, but I feel my lashes tend to stick together and that I do not like. It has a very dry formula and does not make my lashes look luscious.  In addition, I had bought “Blackened Brown,” it is obviously not pigmented (I mean it is not jet-black), so it does not look the way I want it to. I think I am used to a black color one.

It does flake at times and I did not see any change in terms of lashes growing thicker or anything like that. I think it is just a selling strategy and nothing else.

Pros of Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Waterproof Mascara:

• Easy to apply.
• Waterproof.
• Long staying power.
• Does not have any prominent scent.
• Nice packaging.
• Gives volume to lashes.

Cons of Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Waterproof Mascara:

• After application, my lashes tend to stick together.
• Pricey.
• This color is not entirely black, so does not compliment my eyes.

Would I Repurchase Revlon Grow Luscious Plumping Waterproof Mascara?

No, I would be trying some high-end mascara, any suggestions?

Overall, it is nice mascara, but I did not expect it to glue my lashes together. It gives a very messy look to lashes as if you have applied old mascara. After 2 hours, it runs out and makes my dark circles look worse. I would not recommend it.

In my EOTD, it does not show the lashes properly, but it does stick them together. Also, which camera do you guys use to click FOTD and LOTD’s?
