Revlon High Intensity Eyeshadow Palette:  Blissful Girl Review

Revlon High Intensity Eyeshadow Palette Blissful Girl Review

Like I said, I fell head-over-heels for these 4 palettes that Revlon has come up with. I had to get them all, but I got 3 and one has already been reviewed yesterday – the “Romantic Girl” palette.  This one is called “Blissful Girl” and is more like a nude one, suitable maybe for everyday wear; if you wear metallic or shimmer or pearl in regular browns and blacks. This one is my favourite of all or I would say at least better than the “Romantic Girl” because I don’t wear pinks and peaches, but more of these bronzes and blacks any day.

I got these palettes because they reminded me of Sleek palettes, which I never picked up from the UK when I could :/ and so I did not want to miss these palettes at any cost. These came out in four variations called Blissful Girl, Glamour Girl, Party Girl, and Romantic Girl.  I haven’t seen them much, but a few readers have found them at Pantaloons and Westside as well. If you are in Pune, you can find them at “Dorabjees.”

Blissful Girl 1

The “Romantic Girl” palette had more pretty peaches, pretty mauve, and a pink I suppose, more romantic, but this one has more deep colors like a copper, a bronze and a black as well. Like I said, the catch is that they don’t have mattes in them.  In fact, this is the only palette which has a single matte black, hence its my favourite.

The palette has overlapping shades. The “Romantic Girl” has the same highlight shades, the same deep grey and the blue as well.  So, what you get in this is the matte black and the copper and the bronze. What you don’t get is the peach and mauve.  Even the copper is similar to the one in Romantic Girl.  The colours stay on and on a simple base like a concealer as well.

The colors are so soft and crumbly, they are very pigmented; blend easily and have less fall out. In this palette, the bronze one has little fall out because its soft. The light blue is not as pigmented as the others in it, but all the rest are very soft and almost like a cream powder texture.

Blissful Girl 2

The finish is all metallic, pearl and shimmer. There is a matte black in this which is very versatile and thankfully matte.  What they could have done was to give lesser repeats in all the palettes and may be a few mattes as well.

Blissful Girl 3

Last Word:

Blissful Girl 4

For Rs. 825, these are the best palettes we have in India. Many shades overlap in the 4 palettes, but still take your pick according to the name suggestions. I will be reviewing one more in “Glamour Girl” before you decide to get one.
