I am back with another review, Revlon Lip Liner Pencil in Plum Wine.  I use lip liners extensively and I always make sure to define my lips before applying a lipstick. Trust me, it makes a lot of difference even if you decide just to outline the lips with a lip liner first and then apply a lipstick. So, I am always on the lookout for perfect lip liners to go with my collection of lipsticks.

Packaging:

It is in a black pencil form and there is a red color band at the end representing the shade of the pencil. It is not retractable pencil hence it requires sharpening.

My Experience with Revlon Lip Liner Pencil in Plum Wine:

I was on the lookout for a red lip liner which I can team up with many of my red lipsticks. When you decide to sport a look with bold colors like red, it becomes very essential to properly define your lips with a liner, it gives a crispier look and when a color like red starts to bleed, it can really make you look like a Draculla, so I prefer filling my lips too with lip liner for increasing my lipstick’s life on the lips.

Revlon Lip Liner in Plum Wine is a reddish-maroon kind of a color which can be easily clubbed with many shades of red. It is a versatile red color which I think is a must have. This Plum Wine color is so beautiful that it can be worn alone too and alternatively it can be paired with a lip gloss.

The texture of this lip liner is normally smooth and nothing extra good. Like most of the lip liners, this one too is drying and can tug on the lips, hence pre-moisturization of the lips is essential or else it can be flaky after it dries up. The lip liner is pigmented well and a single swipe of the pencil covers the lips effectively. It does not need to be swiped again and again.

Another positive is that it does increase the lipstick wear time easily by 3-4 hours and you don’t need to worry about fading for hours.

Pros of Revlon Lip Liner Pencil in Plum Wine:

• Spreads easily on the lips.
• It can be worn alone too without a lipstick.
• Defines the lips properly.
• Increases the life of lipsticks by 3-4 hours.

Cons of Revlon Lip Liner Pencil in Plum Wine:

• Requires frequent sharpening.
• Feels extremely dry on the lips.
• It seems a bit costly compared to other brands which offers the same quality at a little bit lesser price.

Would I Repurchase Revlon Lip Liner Pencil in Plum Wine?

Yes, I would definitely re-purchase it in some discount season. These pencils are fairly good.
