Today I am here with review of a beautiful crème finish lipstick from Revlon’s Moon Drop collection. A little story behind this shade – I bought it long back from a Revlon factory outlet in Phoenix, Arizona. I picked up I guess 15/20 lipsticks because they were damn cheap out there. They were like 2/3 dollars. Out of craziness I bought stuffs of around 150 dollars which also included few eye shadows along with the lip colors. Later I distributed few of them to my cousins on coming back to India. This color was just so so unique that I somehow remembered the name of this shade. This kind of shades were not available in India back then. Bright colors like this have started popping up in last 1.5 years or so. Then my daughter was born and as she grew up, she started using my lipsticks as and when she got her hand on them (read destroy!!!). She just smashed this color, and I went crazy searching for this color here, but in vain. I happened to visit US again, and I had to get back this color this time. I am so happy I have this color with me now.

My Experience with Revlon Moon Drops Lipstick 702 – Blase Apricot
Color and Texture:
The shade is a beautiful coral pink and it is very bright. The color hugs the lips very well and makes it look super bright. This color will suite for fair to medium skin tone but at the same time, this could be worn just as a stain by darker beauties too. The color stays on the lips for good 4-5 hours even with meals. The color leaves a beautiful pink stain behind.
Texture wise, it is creamy but feels bit dry after 4-5 hours. It is neither super creamy nor super hydrating. You need to have healthy lips while using this color, else this settles and accentuates the dry patches on lips. Even as it fades away towards the end of the day, it sits into the lip lines. You need to remove it with a makeup remover. It does not bleed or feather although it is bit creamy in texture.
The Moon Drops range comes in a beautiful green cylindrical packaging with golden band and transparent top. The transparent top helps identify the color easily in the lipstick stack. The cap sits tight hence this lipstick is travel friendly.
