Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup Foundation with SPF 20 Review

Hi Pretty IMBBians,

Revlon+Nearly+Naked+Makeup+Foundation+with+SPF+20+Review

Happy Belated Valentine’s Day! Hope you all enjoyed expressing love and sharing lots of lovely surprise gestures with each other.  Well, my hubby gave me a lovely early morning surprise with a bunch of heart-shaped mylar balloons depicting our mysterious love story followed by a warm hug which was really unusual for me as he always feels shy to express himself, that too in filmy manner 😀 Well, I am used to hugs and morning wishes by him, but the way he murmured those 3 magical words recalling our first meeting before wedding (we never met in person until our wedding date was fixed blindly by our parents :P), just took my heart away and melted me inside out, giving me goosebumps 😛 First time ever in my life, I felt as if it was not into my ear he whispered, but my heart and though  family traditions brought us together as husband and wife, but we were destined to be beloved and lover :shy shy: Well, noon passed away in tears and smiles. He is such an unpredictable person, when I least expect anything from him, he would suddenly make me jump on my toes with surprise hugs or cooking up dinner! I truly believe that a successful marriage requires falling in love many times always with same person.  I am just rising and rising in love while falling for him day by day :shy again:

My Experience with Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup Foundation with SPF 20:

Well as summers are approaching speedily, I strongly feel the need of switching over from my previous Neutrogena Foundation to other oil-free matte foundations suitable for scorching summers. Recently, I read about new launches of Revlon Makeup through their official website and thereby thought of giving it a chance as I have already heard rave reviews about Revlon Photoready and Whipped Cream foundations etc.  It was mentioned in the website that Revlon’s Nearly Naked products are suitable for almost every skin tone with truly light feel on the skin, so I was totally mad over its launching here.  Finally, I found them in my local grocery store and I just grabbed it without giving a second thought, though its unsealed packaging was unexpected shock for me!

I opted for the shade “Fresh Beige” finding it most appropriate.  This shade looks light in the jar, but it tends to lower down my skin tone somehow. I felt that whenever I apply it on my face, my skin tone becomes much darker as if I have applied bronzer all over.  I guess I should have gone with nude. However, I hardly felt anything disappointing about this makeup foundation other than the shade.  It is a very runny liquid and almost fragrance free, which is really very light on skin, just apt for summers.  Surprisingly, it never breaks me out even if I sleep at night without removing it off from my face. It is super blendable and easily sets even on my large oily pores, but let me tell you that you should scrub your face, otherwise it may set on dry patches of your face.

It hardly takes time blend on to the skin, gives me sheer to medium coverage, not full.  It stays for good 7-8 hours and I may feel lightly open pores after 4-5 hours with slightly oily T- zone which is not a big issue though, as a powder touch-up may sort out my problem. I feel its mandatory to use a primer before foundation, at least with Revlon, else its really difficult to get even application over dry, flaky or acne-prone skin.

When I applied it over my bare skin, it just settled over dry patches on my cheeks (I am really lazy to scrub and apply moisturizer daily resulting in dry skin during winters) and when I scrubbed off my skin to a smooth and even texture, then it just blended like a dream, so I feel it’s not possible to have even and smooth skin every time, so better to opt for a primer to get an even surface. It does give a luminous finish to my face even though the shade is not suitable for my light fair skin.

I feel even, smooth texture with oil free glow on my face up to 5 hours. Overall, I feel its life savior up to some extent for oily, combination skinned beauties and may be dry skin ones should club it with moisturizer, though it would have been great if it provided full coverage. Anyway, I would love to replace my current shade with nude and see results further. On the contrary, I am still searching for an apt foundation that gives good coverage and gives matte finish upto 12 hours at least 😛

Let’s sum up pros and cons:

Pros of Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup Foundation with SPF 20:

  • Blends easily on any skin type, provided you clear off the dry and patchy skin.
  • Buildable coverage though its sheer to medium on oily skin.
  • Really light textured, just apt for scorching summers.
  • Does not break out on oily or acne prone skin even if you wear it overnight 😛
  • Its suitable for every skin tone.
  • It won’t settle into large pores nor irritate skin.
  • SPF 20 sun protection.

Cons of Revlon Nearly Naked Makeup Foundation with SPF 20:

  • Limited availability.
  • I feel grease on my T zone after just 4-5 hours.

As of now, I could only think of these two cons.  Still I would say you should give it a try as its really light and soothing for scorching summers and tanned skin.  I am hooked to it till I get my HG foundation.
