After the Revlon Ultra HD lipstick in Azalea, I went ahead and bought two more shades from the same range. Today, I am reviewing the Revlon Ultra HD lipstick in Petunia. Read on to find out more about this shade.

My Experience with Revlon Petunia Ultra HD Lipstick:
Packaging: This lipstick comes in a sleek packaging with a transparent cap. The tube is a beautiful reflective silver and has Revlon printed at the base. A color-coded sticker at the bottom of the tube has the shade name and also helps identify the lipstick if you have multiple of them. I usually don’t like such transparent cap packaging and find them a bit cheap, but this lipstick looks classy despite such simple packaging.
Unfortunately, this lipstick does not swivel all the way down inside the tube and there is always the danger of nicking some part of the lipstick while trying to put the cap on.
Shade: Petunia is a lovely pomegranate pink. It is a beautiful shade which instantly brightens up the face. It is bright but not loud at all and will surely suit a lot of skin tones. All of you who like pinks should surely buy this shade.
Texture, Finish, Pigmentation: The lipstick feels quite balm-like when you first apply it on your lips. It feels very lightweight and this is due to the gel technology in the lipstick. The lipstick applies very smoothly and does not tug at your lips, but it also tends to slip and you need to be careful with your application.
The lipstick has a beautiful glossy finish and I love that it does not accentuate any lines on the lips. The sheen on this particular shade is such that it makes my lips look slightly plumper than they are, but this is only an illusion as this lipstick does not contain any lip-plumping ingredients. The pigmentation of the lipstick is pretty good and you can go opaque in a single swipe. However for a richer, deeper color, I would recommend going 2 swipes.
The lipstick lasts for about 4-5 hours and survives light snacking. It leaves behind a beautiful pink stain that I love. The lipstick has a mild mango-like fragrance. I am fine with this fragrance, but those who like their cosmetics to be fragrance free might not like it.
To summarize, the Revlon Ultra HD lipstick in Petunia is a beautiful pink shade with glossy finish and a decent formula.
Pros of Revlon Petunia Ultra HD Lipstick:
• Beautiful pink shade
• Strong pigmentation; leaves behind a beautiful stain
• Glides smoothly on the lips
• Lovely glossy crème finish
• Decent staying power – around 4-5 hours.
• Classy packaging.
Cons of Revlon Petunia Ultra HD Lipstick:
- Inconvenient packaging – this lipstick does not swivel all the way down in the tube.
- Not all might like the fragrance.
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Revlon Petunia Ultra HD Lipstick?
Yes, this particular shade is definitely worth a try. I already have 2 other shades from this range and don’t think will repurchase.
