Revlon Photoready Cream Blush - Pinched

NEW Revlon PhotoReady™ Cream Blush was created by Global Artistic Director Gucci Westman for the Spring 2012 collection. Inspired by the glowing skin of a beach beauty, these silky cream blushes glide on smoothly provide a dewy flush of color for a healthy, gorgeous glow.

EXPERT TIPS :
-Using fingers or a brush, dab a small amount of cream blush on apples of cheeks. Apply 2-3 dots of color along cheekbones.

-Gently blend outwards across cheekbones and towards temple, using a patting motion to spread and blend the color. This will help create a natural looking flush of color that blends seamlessly into your skin.

-Color is buildable from a sheer wash of color to a full flush of color. For a stronger pop of color, simply add another layer of color.

-For longer lasting color, you may choose to set it with a loose translucent powder, like PhotoReady Translucent Finisher.

My Views on Revlon Photoready Cream Blush ‘Pinched’:

My last review was the Urban Decay Afterglow Cheek Tint in ‘Score’. You could also call this a blush base but not even a cheek tint. The colour of this is a pretty peach, with no shimmer or frost. This cream blush is very creamy/oily, and needs several/many ‘rubs’ to get sufficient colour onto the fingers, let alone the cheeks. They say it is build-able, but the more you layer on your cheeks, the oilier it gets. I would not even call it a cheek tint, because it comes off immediately on rubbing and does not last even 2 hours. It does not dry to a powder finish. Hence, regarding my above statement about the Urban Decay Cheek Tint, I would say this is only good enough as a greasy base for powder blush. Certainly not suitable for combination/oily skinned ladies, not even in winter. For someone like me, who likes a full face of makeup, I am totally disappointed with this one and I wish I had not picked up the other colour I have, but a review on that one is also coming up soon, for you all to see the shade. Wish I put that money together and picked up another NARS lipstick.

Cons of Revlon Photoready Cream Blush ‘Pinched’ :

• Not enough pigmentation of colour.
• Is buildable, but adds to the greasiness.
• Does not dry to a powder finish.
• Requires multiple swipes for colour to show up, even on fingers.
• Not available in India.
• Not suitable for combination or oily skinned people.
• Not long lasting at all, only about 1 and a half to 2 hours of oily wear.
• Makes even powder blush look patchy when applied over this.
