Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer Review

Hola Bonitas,

Hope all of you are enjoying summers with ice candies and water games! Today, I am here to share another must-have award winning primer from Revlon, which is a must-have for everyone. I prefer it over my Neutrogena primer. Well, I am not into face makeup or eye makeup completely, but I did realize the significance of makeup and grooming in our life. Don’t you think we are most confident when we feel good about ourselves. I mean obviously we are confident from within which reflects on our face naturally, but sometimes when we are tinch pinch with that hint of eyeliner or lipstick or smooth bright face, doesn’t it give us an enthusiastic mood all the way? I had been so busy with my post-wedding responsibilities and motherhood that all beauty thoughts were deep seated in my heart somewhere, but IMBB sparked them in my mind and luckily, I had been thousand miles away from my kitchen & home where I had plenty of time for I , me and myself! I fully utilized this opportunity in grooming and exploring new places with my better half and baby. I totally support and agree that we all should take a short/long break every quarter month, it really helps in getting back on track with new energy and hopes know. Let’s get back straight to my latest love Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer.

Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer

Price:

$10-$12 for 0.9 Fl Oz (27 ml), I bought it for $10.97

Product Description:

Lightweight primer smoothes and softens skin to create the perfect canvas. Reduces the appearance of pores and fine lines. Wear alone or under foundation. Award winning and oil free, talc free, fragrance free, paraben free primer.

Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer

Packaging:

This thick pale pink primer comes in a glass bottle packaging with pump dispenser opening, safely placed inside transparent cap. It does have slight faint smell which is not overpowering thankfully. It is definitely travel friendly and user friendly packaging as I took it all the way on my trip and this was my most-loved product throughout my trip.

My Experience with Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer:

This primer seems slightly soft, creamy textured which easily melts on my skin. It does not settle inside my open pores and does not exaggerate my blemishes, just effortlessly blends onto my skin leaving behind a smooth, clean canvas for further makeup sessions! I love it more than Neutrogena primer for it is really soft and gentle on my skin unlike granular Neutrogena primer. Moreover, it does not leave any white or transparent cast on my skin, just enhances my natural skin texture while making it more smooth and clear. I am really surprised with this Revlon primer and must say, this was my most used primer throughout journey and trips!

Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer

It is really easy to blend on any type of skin. My skin comes under the most extreme rough/oily category and this primer went on smoothly without leaving a hint of it on my face. All I could notice was slightly glowing and visibly clear skin, and it is good to go with just a touch of face powder and/or powder foundations in my case. I refrain from using liquid foundation these days, they usually give me oily/greasy look even if I use them over any primer or toner. However, this primer is really good to keep oil at bay for good 6-8 hours with or without setting powder and/or foundations on my face. I had quite a hectic schedule last week and as I mentioned, we had been on a trip to East Coast where we used to walk continuously for 10-14 hours and thankfully, I never felt need to touch up while using this primer and my Smashbox Perfecting Powder. Even it photographs well in pictures.

Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer

I used to keep a few touch up stuff handy, but I didn’t use them, believe me! Though it is but obvious that once we reached home, we looked tired, but I always observed a luminous and dewy sheen on my face throughout my trip. Overall, I am highly impressed with this primer which really works above average and comparable to many great high-end primers as well! It is suitable for every skin type as it never accentuated my oily and acne-prone skin and did not irritate my sensitive skin. I think we all need such stuff in our life which works for good long hours especially for oily skin beauties! I am definitely getting it again once I finish it off considering it’s super affordable and gives wonderful results on my skin.

Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer

Let’s sum up pros and cons:

Pros of Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer:

  • A soft and creamy primer which effortlessly blends on any skin texture.
  • The moment I dab it on my moisturized skin, it starts melting and blending perfectly.
  • It does not settle into my facial pores, rather makes them appear smaller for good hours.
  • It does not accentuate my skin issues and does not irritate my skin.
  • Gives me clean, smooth skin.
  • Gave me dewy, oil-free skin for good 6-8 hours throughout my exhaustive trip of 10-14 hours.
  • It does not leave any transparent or white cast on my skin.
  • It also comes out well in photographs.
  • User friendly, hygienic and travel-friendly packaging.
  • Considering its above average properties and overall results, I think it’s a steal for the price it comes at.

Cons of Revlon Photoready Perfecting Primer:

  • I could not think of any.

Well, this is my first time that I am not able to think of a single con. I wholeheartedly recommend this Revlon perfecting primer to everyone including oily, acne prone skin type as well. I am sure; you will love it like anything! I am getting it again for its amazing results which are comparable to many high-end primers. For me, it’s 5/5 in every sense!

  5. Beautiful Pics.. Beautiful Review and of course Beautiful YOU *haan ji*

i will purchase it immediately now..is eye primer a different thing than this? Do we need to use eye wala differently when we use this? *scared*

    1. jyoti eye primer is certainly diff than this i believe.. *haan ji* I nvr tried it on my eye area u knw hw sensitive our under eye area is.. *scared* Bt once I accidentally layered it around my eyes n i ws relieved to notice that it didnt caused any drying or irritation thankfully.. *haan ji* bt I have UD primer n find it best n safe rather than experimenting wid face primers.. *nababana*
*thankyou* gal for ur words as well..

  7. That’s a lovely review, have never tried any primers lol, definitely hv to buy one soon, this sounds really good. Lovely pics yaar, looking beautiful *puchhi*

    1. oh yes primers were not for me unless once i notied that how one make up artist applied my foundation wid ease n smoothness within minutes over primers. n since then i knew primer is a must have for oily, rough, uneven skin type like mine. even it alone gives such amazing results. else u knw hw foundations either sink in pores or acne or they just give us hard time to blend on skin.. *headbang* *headbang*
n *thankyou* for ur lovely words gal.. *puchhi*

  8. Neetu, you should have done OOTS posts for these because the jacket makes you look like a super model *woot* *woot* seriously *woot* Aadiya is our diva truly…i am drooling over the island pics, i think new york was the best …. *clap*

    1. aww.. sumera.. *thankyou* I will try thsi weekend if possible.. *happydance*
oh yes I also liked new york but its sumhw same like san francisco near our home, same tall buildings n ambience, its kind of stinky too sumwhere.. 😛 above all every place is north south west east so u just keep on running to cover them within ur limited time period
Bt washington Dc ws new for me, more clean n neat n u hv all vista places within 1-2 miles walk so no mess with kids. n same goes wid philadelphia so I liked them for quick n easy commute system as well..

      1. oh ok great info. neetu i need a teeny weeny bit of help. i need the number of my friend living in Houstan Texas. can you locate from local directory if convenient for you?

      1. Yes..u can try it for sure..I am using the same in all seasons and its good for oily acne prone skin..buy the mineral foundation and veil..dont buy their brushes..they are a real crap..They started shedding and became hard after 4 months..I am using real techniques core collection brushes..buffing brush is good for mineral foundation..just try out different shades like one shade each day and watch out if it becomes dark or its the same through out the day and buy it
