Revlon Photoready Skinlights Peach Light Face Illuminator Review

Hello peeps,

Highlighter is the trend of the season because who wouldn’t love a healthy glow on their dull face? I have tried a lot of highlighters but this is my first one from Revlon. I have had a mixed experience with Revlon products but this looked good to me. Read the review to see whether it lived upto its claims or not!

My Experience with Revlon Photoready Skinlights Peach Light Face Illuminator:

Packaging: The Revlon skinlights illuminator comes in a flat sleek tube, which appears to be colour-coded. It has a nice peach packaging which is super handy during the travels. It has a small nozzle which lets out the needed quantity. One squeeze will give you a pea-sized amount which will be good for the face. They have 3 different shades to choose from and I picked the darkest colour because it looked something close to rose gold which I love. It is pretty expensive compared to the drugstore brand.

Shade: The shade “peach lights” is a very nice and pretty peach colour when squeezed but when you blend it to illuminate your skin, it turns into a beautiful peachy rose gold shade with little illuminating particles. I think this shade is great for the Indian skin tone, as it will neutralise the skin with its peach colour. The shade gives my face a nice pinkish glow which looks beautiful. The glow looks and not OTT but I just wish the glow was a bit more.

It can be used over a foundation, mixed with the foundation or only on certain portions to highlight like the brow-bone, the nose, cheeks and more. I just observed that small peach particles are left on my skin, which doesn’t look that great. Hence prepping and cleansing the skin before using this is very necessary or else this illuminator looks really bad.

Consistency: The consistency is super duper smooth and it glides on my face very well. You do not have to put in a lot of efforts to blend it, as its creaminess makes it blend easily. Also, it does not make the face oily or greasy and gives a nice glowing finish.

Staying power: It stays for somewhere around 4-5 hours which is decent for an illuminator but I would always go for powdered illuminators since they stay on the skin more.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Revlon Photoready Skinlights Peach Light Face Illuminator?

I think it is a decent one but I would love highlighter powders instead of the liquid ones. I have oily skin hence powdered ones work a lot better for me.

Conclusion:
I would love to try some more highlighters because they are one of my favourite makeup products that show instant magic!
