I’m the newest member of IMBB and today, I’m going to review the very first blusher that I ever used; Revlon Powder Blush: Everything’s Rosy. I was always a “kajal and lip gloss” person but last year for my college farewell, I decided to go one step further and get myself a blusher.
I was pretty sure heading to a MAC or Inglot store would mean endless confusion because of the overwhelming variety they have. (And also because I was on a limited budget!) I wanted to get a drugstore brand but was quite disappointed to find that most blushes had too much shimmer for my liking. Also, I am usually more drawn towards warm, peachy-pinks over the typical cool pinks so I was having a hard time finding that perfect no-shimmer, natural looking product. At the Revlon counter, the SA showed me this blush and I just knew it was what I had been looking for!
Long-lasting and fade resistant formula. It matches your skin tone and blends easily giving you the perfect natural blush. Steal your secret beauty weapon!
• For a soft, natural blush of color.
• Brush over cheeks for natural blushing color.
• With a good for your skin Botanical Complex of Green Tea, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng and grape seed extracts.
Rs. 800/- for 5.1 g. (I got it last year. Now, I think they’ve hiked the price to Rs.850/- and the packaging has also been revamped.)
Talc, Dimethicone, Nylon-12, Boron Nitride, Aloe Vera Extract.
My take on Revlon Powder Blush- Everything’s Rosy:
The blush comes in a sleek and sturdy black plastic case with a see-through lid. A tiny mirror is housed in the inside of the lid. A small brush applicator is also provided which is quite soft. It hasn’t shed a single hair ever, and comes in handy in case you need to do touch ups. And here is the best part….the blush is extremely durable and long lasting! During the days of my internship at a Delhi hospital, I used to apply it in the morning, travel in an auto rickshaw with a dupatta wrapped over my face, travel in the Delhi metro for 1.5 hours, walk through the nightmarish Delhi roads, spend a whole day at the research lab and come all the way back home via the same route, only to find the blush still sitting pretty on my cheeks!
The color of the blush is a beautiful rose-pink with a hint of peach and it has very subtle, finely milled shimmer which goes on smoothly and renders a natural-looking, healthy and radiant glow (you know the kind of natural blush you got while your friends teased you about your crush in school?? :p). The fact that it goes on sheer proved to be a boon considering I was using a blush for the first time in my life and I found it super-easy to work with. An added bonus is that it contains good-for-the-skin ingredients. 😀
This is how it looks on me:
Pros of Revlon Powder Blush Everything’s Rosy:
• Imparts just the perfect, natural, glowing flush of color.
• Long lasting and Fade resistant.
• Very easy to work with. Blends like a dream.
• Contains skin-nourishing ingredients.
• Decent, functional packaging.
Cons of Revlon Powder Blush Everything’s Rosy:
Can’t really think of any!
I love this baby to bits! Definitely recommended for beginners or anyone who’s looking for a blush that’s fuss-free, long lasting and imparts a gorgeous natural flush of color to the face.
